McLaren's appeal against its Hungarian Grand Prix points penalty will be heard in Paris on September 19.

The team was not allowed to take any constructors' points from the event despite its drivers amassing a total of 15 points at the Hungaroring.

McLaren was penalised by the race stewards for its role in the "Pitlanegate", which saw Lewis Hamilton refuse to comply with team instructions and Fernando Alonso hold up the championship leader when the two drivers stacked in the pits.

"The International Court of Appeal (ICA) will meet in Paris on Wednesday, September 19, 2007 to hear an appeal lodged by the Motor Sports Association on behalf of its licence-holder Vodafone McLaren Mercedes concerning a decision of the Panel of the Stewards of the 2007 Hungarian Grand Prix," read a statement by the FIA on Friday.

"In the interests of transparency the hearing will be open to members of the press and details of the accreditation procedure will be published closer to the time."

This will the second appeal hearing in six days that McLaren will attend in Paris.

The International Court of Appeal also convenes to further investigate the spy scandal affair involving the team's suspended technical director Mike Coughlan and former Ferrari employee Nigel Stepney.

I wonder how long will it take to release a final judgment on this matter. Can't see Mclaren getting all the points back, though.
