I'm sure most of you guys have watched F1 since the mid- or late-90's. There has to be some memorable Grand Prix that you guys have watched. For me it's the 2001 Malaysian GP.

It was a real wet n' wild race. The rain came out of nowhere. It just rain suddenly. I remembered the pits were alive with activity as drivers scramble to change tires. There was even pits that dealt with both of the team cars. Another thing was that only half of the circuit was raining. So most of the drivers had to come in again for intermediate tires. In all that chaos and madness, a lonely Prost car led the race. It was a really memorable race for me as far as I can remember.

If it involved accidents it had to be Monza (can't remember the year). Minardi had yellow livery. Damon Hill was at Jordan. DC was still with McLaren. The race started and half the pack was wiped out after a spectacular crash at the 1st corner (those hairpins). Whew!

Ive been watchin the GP since the late 70s and ive seen some amazin action. The 1 incident that really stands out for me was at Silverstone (i think in 98-99) when Mika Hakkinen was battlin with Michael Schumacher comin into the first turn, they both went round (i forget who it was sorry) both sides of the car at over 180 mph and into the turn. Mika won out and got infront of Michael and went on to win the race. It was an absolutely amazin display of drivin skill on the part of both drivers, prob my all time favorite moment in racing:)

I remember the Belgian GP from (i think) 1998. I twas utterly chucking it down with rain (as it ususally does) and the first corner was a disaster, 3/4 of the field were knocked out of the race which had to be stopped, since there was so much rain you could see 5cm in front of your face.

My other memorable race was Suzuka 1996, Damon Hill winnig his Champioship title, that was a moment in british racing history, its a shame he was the last British Person to win a F1 title,

Hopefully Jenson can do it...........

I have been watching F1 since last year so I dont have any really good memorable moments.  For me it was the German Grand Prix where Kimi was in the lead and in the last lap or so and his front left tire broke off due to a really bad flat spot, i think.

You beat me to making this topic Napster06, can make we post merorable moments as well.

Well I agree on Kipi with Spa 98, that was a great race with a nail biting finish and my favorite driver won. I also want to mention a remarkeble drive. Argentina 95: Gerard Berger in a Ferrari pulled in the pits with a problem on the front of the car, so the mechanics start to push the car in the pit garage only for one of the mechanics to spot a puncture on one of the front tires. They push his car back, change his tires and refuel the car, Berger rejoins the race after a 81 second pitspot and in the end manages to finish 6th.

O yeah and people are complementing Raikkonen on his stunning comeback drives but Fisichella did it more then once when he drove for Sauber, at Silverstone he came from last to six.

The 1998 Belgian Grand Prix has got to be my most memorable as well. That had to be one of the most amazing sights I've ever seen.

Alternatively, 2005 America. That was farcical - luckily I like Ferrari :p.

Hungary 97, that was so cruel. Hill leads most of the race only for his car to fail with 2 laps to go and because of that finished second. Memorable race, memorable drive, dramatic end. Monaco 04 was a good one too.

What about the Schumachers at their best ? Ralf driving really slow when Alonso comes up to lap him and there by force Alonso on the dirty line and because of that he looses it and crashes. During the safety car Michael leads the race ahead of the lapped car of Montoya. In the tunnel Schumacher speeds up and the brakes stupendously hard and Montoya has nowhere to go and hits him. When all is going bad you dont want to be near a Schumacher.

Spa, 2001, I think, when Mika passed Schumacher after splitting a backmarcker coming down from the Eau Rouge.  Man, I saw that live, and at the time, I even knew right then, I was happy to see that live, since it was so memorable.

Belgian Grand Prix in SPA in 1998..The pile up was exciting then Shumacher had the championship in his sights with Hakkinen retired until Shumacher ran into the back of Coulthard in the treacherous weather conditions and retired along with DC. Damon Hill went on to win the race with jordan teammate Ralf Shumacher in close 2nd..6th Cars finished although Coulthard & Nakano went out after they were both 8 laps down to get some milage and perhaps some points.

Rubens Barichello's first GP win (Germany 2000) was memorable to me, and not just because of that crazy streaker that disrupted things. If I recall correctly, he drive an extremely gutty race, coming from the back of the pack to win. Great drive, but the most memorable moment was Rubens atop the podium, tears of joy streaming down his face. He's been one of my favorites ever since...

It was actually a former employee of Mercedes and did his act out of protest walking at the side of the track with a protest flag.

How about Silverstone 2003, this was also a great race and also included a lunatic on the track.(it wasnt great because of that of course).

What Alonso did was of a rockie, no PRO driver goes at that speed to the marble zone and exiting the air-cone of a front car. Alonso did 2 errors and crash and he was the responsible. About Montoya a MSchumacher, did Montoya forgot his USA racing experience?

Now to the topic, my favorite races ever are: Dijon 1979 and Monaco 1982. I think everyone know why.

Im not acusing anyone, but I was talking about the Wurz/Schumacher battle which lasted for a couple of corner and included contact. About Wurz crashing, his suspension failed as a result of the car being dropped quite heavily onto the floor at the pitstop.

Eh, anyone noticed there hasn't been much races with a lot of crashes lately? The only interesting part is probably one-two duels. Where has the good old days of first-corner incidents have gone to?

that is true, i know it wasn't at the first corner, But what about Albers and Ide at the Villeneuve Chicane last weekend, that was cool, lucky Albers walked away from that.

Last two races were good, especially '04 and last year Schumacher was on fire after his incident was pretty much the fastest car on track for the rest of the race, then he came across the line side by side with Ralf after he passed his teammate at the chicane. That was great stuff.
