Scott Speed's future with Toro Rosso is in further doubt after the American released more details about his confrontation with team boss Franz Tost at the Nurburgrng.

Reports of an altercation between Tost and Speed surfaced after the race, and although Tost played the situation down, Speed has now told speedtv.com and autosport.com that the team boss was physically aggressive towards him in the pits.

The confrontation allegedly began after Speed was criticised for crashing out of the race, and responded with criticism of the team's pit stop.

The incident has worsened an already tense relationship between Speed and Toro Rosso, with the American having suggested earlier in the weekend that Tost and team co-owner Gerhard Berger were "pushing like hell" to get him out of the squad.

Speed now says his relationship with Berger and Tost has irrevocably broken down, but he hopes he can retain his relationship with STR's parent company Red Bull, which has backed his whole career.

"To be honest, the only thing I'm worried about is my relationship with Red Bull, because obviously Franz Tost and Gerhard Berger have been pushing the same dishonesty to the media, and I'm worried that might have ruined my relationship with Red Bull," Speed told autosport.com and speedtv.com.

"Because Red Bull has been amazing to me, and I think we fit together really good, and it's a shame to let these two people ruin the whole thing.

"As far as my future in F1 is concerned, you couldn't pay me enough money to race for those two people again.

"If it was with a different team, that would be great, but I would also like to do something else with Red Bull, even if it was outside F1.

"Like I said, my relationship with Red Bull has been fantastic."

The immediate implications of the fall-out are not clear, although Speed is still scheduled to test for Toro Rosso at Mugello today.

Strong words from Speed. I'd say his chances of completing the year at Toro Rosso are virtually nil.

And the thing is that can't draft in Bourdais just yet, becuase the Champcar season is still in progress with Sebastian and Robert Doornbos in the title running, i'm sure he'd rather stay there to get his 4th title then come to F1 in 08. but if Liuzzi or Speed go, Vettel be in like a shot.

Speed's performance is below average, I'm won't be surprised if I don't see him in F1 next year.
