Why are the Ferrari's rear wheels covered?

This is a bit of topic but I don't really like his new helmet.  It is plain and boring, McLaren has what I think are the best helmets.  Look at Alonso's this year, alot better than his helmet at Renault. kimi_da_iceman2

hmm i dunno. Im not gonna underestimate them too much, cause the pattern in previous seasons (in terms of competitiveness ) has gone:

[since 2002] bad year, good year, bad year, good year, bad year [2006]

If that tells us anything, its that they are gonna have a good 07 season. Plus mercedes engines were one of the most reliable last year.
