i think mclarens motto is different to that of mclaren in the previous championship. mclarens is build something which will go extremely fast and we couldn't care less about the reliability at first. Once they have achieved the fastest then they will start to take care of reliability and this can be seen at Imola (san marino) last season. Renaults is the other way around, build something which is extremely reliable and then we can improve on its performance as we go on through the season and that can also be seen in the previous season....thats at least what i think, and if it is so that mclaren do think like this, then they have something to seriously worry about, especially such a talented driver such as kimi to lose a championship like that....u know what hurts the most is that in the Brazil GP, mclaren got a 1-2 finish after such a long time, but Alonso was also crowned the new champion, and the same thing happened in the previous year with Kimi, he won Spa but schumacher was crowned as champion, that sorta rips your heart out
Don't forget that he was also denied in 2003 in Japan, Barrichello won but schumacher finished in the points to deny Kimi, kimi's luck in F1 has been on the low side and with McLaren having engine problems i think kimi should maybe find another team.....?
Exactly! The McLaren cares more about speed than reliability, and this costed them both championships last season! Personally, I prefer the Renault's style; go for durability first then take care of speed!
I wish the McLaren would follow the Renault's style; because speed isn't everything in Formula One!
