Renault F1 Team: Any questions? Ask now!

At the end of November, yours truly is going to go on a rare visit to the Renault F1 Team headquarters in Enstone, one of which is offered to very few people.

Obviously whilst I'm there, I'll have the opportunity to ask questions to the team. And here's where I bring the F1PU forward in this.

If you've got any questions you'd like answering by the Renault F1 team, post them here. I cannot guarantee that I'll be able to get answers from the team (we are quite time limited), and I'll only choose the best questions that are posted here. I'll be locking the thread at midnight GMT on Thursday, 25th November - the day I go to visit.

How many degrees can an F1 wheel turn lock to lock?

What would the best way of getting into Formula One be with a very very low budget?

Curse you Red Man! Levels of envy are very high right now!...................

Onto my questions;

"Ground effect and Turbo-charged engines are proposed for 2013. Will any other aspects of the cars change like tracking width, wing size/shape?"

Also.....

"Knowing that the peak of the previous generation of forced-induction cars had ungodly amounts of horsepower, what boost pressure would the engines be restricted to in order to prevent 4 figure power outputs?"

Is Kubica looking to switch teams?

Is Kubica looking to team up with Alonso in some kind of way.

Well I'm back. Sadly, I can't tell you much - parts I'm sworn to secrecy, the rest I have to have validated by the Renault team before I can post it anywhere on the internet, but here's what I can tell you:

- The current livery will be used for 2011.

- No information can be given regarding the Lotus situation. They wouldn't even tell us.

- Wasn't expecting it, but I met Vitaly Petrov whilst I was there. He's as shy as he appears on TV, but he's a great guy. Had a good joke about the Abu Dhabi race too :lol:

It wasn't an interview, it was a tour of the factory which is usually only for sponsor representatives and celebrities. I was actually a representative of FOFA who'd gone, it was the chairman who scored it, but no idea how he did.Redders1989
