Organisers of the Singapore Grand Prix are discussing ways of improving overtaking at the track with Formula One teams and the FIA.

The city state made its debut on the F1 calendar last season, hosting the sport's first ever night race to much fanfare.

However, the spectacle was hampered somewhat by a notable lack of overtaking areas on the 3.148-mile track, with it now being decided that a revamp is needed.

"We are modifying Turns One, Two and Three because we want drivers to have more opportunities to overtake this year," event chairman Colin Syn told autosport.com

Modifications are also expected at Turn 10, where the kerb proved to be problematic for many drivers.
