Reconstruction work is continuing apace to bring the Spa-Francorchamps circuit into line with FIA requirements in time for the Belgian Grand Prix later this year.
The legendary Ardennes venue was dropped from the 2006 F1 calendar after it was unable to meet the governing body's demands for a major upgrade of pit and paddock facilities in time.
It was reinstated for 2007 on the proviso that it complete such changes in time for the mid-September event.
The track is currently undergoing extensive modifications to accommodate an enlarged pit/paddock complex (see pictures) and to improve spectator amenities.
These include moving the Bus Stop chicane back towards Blanchimont and turning it into a right-left switchback, to create a longer run down to the La Source hairpin, and the erection of new grandstands.
The work will need to be completed in time for the planned multi-team F1 test on July 10-12.
