Well that sucks for the rest of us who really dont have 5 hours to just sit down and beat a boss. I remember trying to beat FFVII my game was scratched and it kept looping on jenova on the 2nd to last battle and i could not beat the boss because every time i got it below 1k hp the game would loop back to the start of the fight.Schonertod
Beat him a little bit, go have some food, beat him a bit more, go out, come back and kill him :P
Apparently in FFXII there is a boss which you will have to fight for 5 Hours (one of the clan mob hunts probably). So what do you guys think about this? I like long, epic boss fights so i dont mind fighting this boss even it takes 5 hours. Orasion_SeizIt'll be like fighting Lavos all over again
Let the Gambit do its work. Btw, I think I've seen this optional boss Omega, which takes some hours to be beaten.
I do not like Square's trend of having bosses that you have to fight with for 2-5 hours. Longer fighting time does not always mean increased in difficulty. They can always make bosses with few hundred thousand life and yet they can be very tough.
It sounds very interesting.... Omega. you are talking about the one from FFX right? I had fought for along time in the dungon and leveled up alot than easly killed him...jdr_172000*ahem* Correction. Omega first appeared in Final Fantasy V. Considering that Matsuno has admitted to muchn prefering the first 6 FF games to the lasy 5, I would tend to guess that Omega draws inspiration from the boss in FFV (AKA hardest boss ever).
[QUOTE="Fantasy_Gamer"]Yeah. And get slaughteredLet the Gambit do its work.

not to mention you can ran out of items and die in a horrible way there. but im really excited to meet this boss!
Omega in FFV was actually the first weapon. The second was Atma in Final Fantasy VI, which was technically a mistranslation of Ultima.

Personally, I d onot consider Atma a Weapon Boss. He is too weak to be an actual weapon. If not for his brother Atma Weapon, Atma will not be considered a weapon.

Whether or not you consider him to be a true weapon does not change the fact that he is one, He is the original Ultima Weapon[QUOTE="KingX"]ahh sounds cool! Lavos is king!fs_metalThat's what it sounds like to me anyway. Lavos was an epic boss fight. IF you did it right, you wound up fighting about 6 bosses in a row at the end of that game.
