Advent Children - a change of heart?

From what I've seen, anything regarding a sequel to Final Fantasy VII is a mixed bag of feelings. This is more in reference to anything that happens "after" Meteorfall. I honestly believe people perceived a different style for what has been shown already. And the only thing good that has been said in regards to the story has been elements directly related to past events, and music. But in reality the 2 years after Final Fantasy VII feels extremely different and quite unnecessary.

Before any announcement was made about Advent Children, or maybe even prior to its release what was your perception regarding the aftermath of Meteor?

yeah, one of the many resons: it's prequel so you don't actually have the need to play all FF VII to understand what's going on.

I think the prequels had better reception from fans because a lot of what they remembered still is intact.

All movies, prequels and sequels are put in a hard situation 'coz it shall always be compared to the original Final Fantasy VII, which is quite a burden on the part of the developers. Everything shall be measured up to the impact made by FFVII to everyone making critics to the movies, prequels and sequels.

Anyway, I wonder if ACC complete has added a substantial amount of additions to the Advent Children.

It worked the same wonders, you obviously said Final Fantasy VII wasn't that great. If somebody says they don't like or care about something why in the world would they like something that's continuing it or something else like that. People obviously didn't like Dierge of Cerbeus, so I'd understand that but a decent amount of people liked AC and Crisis Core so it's not necessarily true that everything was bad.the_greenzero

With AC. I was expecting more than well CGed fight scenes with poor choreography that they slapped an after thought story onto that ammounted to a rehash of the original game

It's obviously you're opinion, I can't even say I'm a really big fan of FFVII because I saved at a bad spot and I don't think I remember beating it on my file. It's just a discussion so I always have open ears, just don't end up like that banned member ;) (sarcasm).the_greenzero

I'm sorry but "wasn't that great" and "didn't like" aren't exactly miles apart. Getting your panties in a bunch over it is just childish. Regardless he could of said if you thought FFIIV "wasn't that great" you wouldn't like... etc. In reality he had a point. As far as FF7 being a bad game this is your opinionas many, many people will disagree with you. I consider it one of the best RPGs of all time which isn't exactly a stretch when a giant chunk of gamers consider it the best game of all time. Despite this I am all for them leaving FF7 alone in every way. Make new games, don't take something someone else made right the first time and ruin it. Sadly the fact is if they think they can make money from it anything is fair game. It will always be as such.

Vornswrath was FS...I'm 99.9% sure of it. From what I could tell, they had the same views and thoughts, and both had a large obsessio with MGS.
