Man I just got finish watching that movie its incredible, some people complain, but to me it was waaaaaaaaaayyyyyyy better then their first try if you have seen the first movie, which was okay, but not really have the feel for it. But I just wanted yall to know that, and if you have seen it you are missing alot they did a great job. Kudos to all the people involved with that movie.Chedda925You havve to remember. The one who created or developed Final Fantasy: Spirits Within was the great Sakaguchi who is known for so many great things including Final Fantasy. He wasnt the one who created or developed Final Fantasy VII : Advent Children (Movie) though. Someone else did that (cant remember who) and that is why it was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyy better than Final Fantasy: Spirits Within. As you might agree, Sakaguchi should have stuck to Final Fantasy and other RPG Games instead of messing around with Movies. He saw that the hard way and the effects where extreme. But i am glad to see he is getting back in the game with his work with Producing great games again. All haul Sakaguchi.
I haven't watched it yet :cry:DaveGamer_05Hey dont feel bad my friend. its not like your missing out on much, really (YEAH RIGHT).
You'll see it soon, i hope. No worries.
Sakaguchi failed with Spirits Within 'coz he thought as long as there is the words "Final Fantasy" he will never be down. Enthusiasts are not just after he title. We loved FF becasue of the elements of an FF... And him totally eradicating magic in Spirits Within is a big mistake.Fantasy_Gamer
Spirits Within didn't feel like a real FF world, so that is properly why it didn't do so great
But Advent Children was a great movie, but the english voicing acting was poor (with a few exceptions) and was rather slow moving for the first 30 minutes, but the action scene were top notch, and made the movie great, i personally think it's best to watch it in Japanese, cos the voice acting is good, and the DVD has a japanese audio option

Advent Children was decent. I'm pretty sure they just decided to dub in english voices and not change the lip synching from the Japanese version. With the cast that they got for the American track....... That's inexcusable, no matter how much work it would take. I was extremely disappointed with that choice.

It also - purposely - did not look quite as realistic as The Spirits Within. Could Cloud hold that buster sword without his wrist breaking? Nope...... It was exactly that way in the game, too.

I actually prefer TSW over AC to be honest. I knew the former wasn't going to be closely related to the games when I saw a huge editorial on it in Game Informer. Who was Aki? Why does it take place on Earth? Why are they casting Donald Sutherland? It was blatantly obvious that the movie wasn't going to be like the games, so I didn't walk into the theater expecting that.

Sidenote: Though it may not have continued the game lineage, The Spirits Within did have an infinitely better soundtrack than what's in Advent Children. No offense to Uematsu, but he was trumped by Goldenthal.
