A dark, ominuos theme is perfect for any game I play. If you don't feel the need to go on, and the power, every time you level up, it's just a joyride.
A dark theme would be pretty cool becuz alot of gamers like myself like playin with characters that are dark and mysterious, and have a trouble past, or sumthin like that....but anywayz it would be cool to play as an anti-hero or sumthin....
Lighthearted is okay, but I haven't liked the lighthearted stories as much as the others. I don't really want total tragedy, but I guess dark gets my emotions going moreso. Although, I do enjoy when the main character isn't always all dark and brooding all the time.
Dark elements really help the story in my opinion and serve to make it more emotionally engaging; then again lighthertedness also provides that element of humor that is present in FF games and also helps build character building/relationships etc. I've also just joined this union - you guys have done a great job! :wink:
