hard choice, I like them all. Melodies of Life probably the least, but still awesome. If I had to pick just one, probably Suteki Da Ne or Angela Aki's version of Eyes on Me

I would say Eyes on Me. Yeah, it was the first one I heard. I even have it on my iPod :P

But Melodies of Life is cool also. As for the others, well I have heard them, but didnt really made an impact on me.

I am not to big on vocal tracks when it comes to videogame and anime OSTs; that includes Final Fantasy. Really, there have only been a few who could actually create a really good soundtracks with a few guest appearances from vocal artists. Eyes on Me was fairly decent, but I still prefer Love Grows(especially on FFVII: FLWV) which is more of a instrumental of the song. Really, the only two composers that can pull off vocals well are Akira Yamaoka and Yoko Kanno(there's also a few others). Akira Yamaoka does the music for Silent Hill. The Silent Hill 3 OST is probably a more recognizable soundtrack in the videogame industry. For one reason the voice actor Melissa Williamson(aka Mary Elizabeth McGlynn) does some really good vocal tracks. In my opinion the Silent Hill 3 OST is a good CD period.

But....

Yoko Kanno! Blue, The Real Folk Blues, Call Me, Rise, Lithium Flower, and more. The soundtracks of Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex and of course..Cowboy Bebop; those two have excellent vocal tracks. More importantly, Cowboy Bebop. Mainly because the soundtrack was a international collaberation of different artists(the same appoarch for the story and it's characters as well). Yoko Kanno for me is up there with Nobuo Uematsu. And yes; I think she does vocal tracks better. All you have to do is listen to Blue and/or watch Spike fall with his famous line "bang". You need to have the connections. Yoko has worked with Mai Yamane to Russian talent, Origa.

Eyes on Me is pretty familiar with the teens up to the mid-20s here in the Philippines, though many of them are not aware that it is a videogame song. :P

yea "Eyes on me" - Faye Wong was highly praised and well recived all over the world, actually won a few awards. but of the aboved mentioned... man each one is great in its own right.. but for me personally I'll go with Suteki da Ne just because its so moving, but eyes on me is really close to me too.

I'm going to have to say 1000 words because it is the only one that has actually brought me to tears when hearing it (and still does every now and again).

Eyes on Me would probably be my first choice, it was just one of those good songs that added some interesting emotion to the game itself. Melodies of Life is very good also, nice melody and rhythm, very catchy.

Suteki da Ne all the way man......I use it to relax myself before I meditate sometimes. Although my fave piece of FF music is Beatrix theme when you fight her in Cleyra, always forget what its called.
