this is really sad..

Well in the past GS was caring about unions much more, people were coming and posting every minute, nowadays each officer must post at least 10 times/day in order to keep things going, must do many things to keep the union active, in the past there was no worries that the union might lose the activity it has, people just enjoyed their time at FFE, now they are obliged to be active or the union will die, this has taken much from the enjoyment the union usually provide, thus many had lost interest after a while, it's like shifting back to a manual transmission car after getting used to automatic transmission ones, FG himself once told me he will come back in 1 to 2 months in order to change his ISP, it has been 7 months since he has told me that, and he's still not here due to him becoming busier, what can you expect in such circumstances?
Unions nowadays need a lot of time and effort to keep them sailing, personally I don't have the time anymore :/
Since 2007, the Union System has lacked the support from GS. Only the more dedicated members try to make the most out of what the system can offcer, but as for me, rest assured that I will be the last person to abandon FFE. This is the sole reason I am still here at GS. So, for those who are with me, let's continue to strive and not lose heart. There are seasons for everything. ;)
Btw, I request the topic poster to edit the title. Make it more positive. The title gives the impression that we have abandoned the union. We are trying our best to stimulate activities around here.
I came by to visit and see how things were going. I can only speak for myself but Square Enix was quite busy with the Final Fantasy franchise a few years ago plus there were many other Japanese RPGs that kept appearing over the horizon. I think much of the union has died simply because the industry has changed so much.
As for my activity here on GS as a whole. I think I've grown up a lot. Many of the faithful here at FFE(especially the officers) have developed into adults.
My gaming experience in the past few months has been either short sessions with The Old Republic, Skyrim on rainy days, and Draw Something on my Android phone while I'm at work. If I could have it my way I'd be out downtown with my DSLR camera, traveling to different cities for work, catching up with the family and friends, etc. And most of my game experience comes from watching humor videogame commentary on Youtube such as the Yogscast, Jesse Cox, Total Biscuit, and WoW Crendor. Plus I'll be turning 27 soon. :o
If Square Enix were to announce that a anime series based off one of the FF games was going to be created I'd be excited. If they were going to recreate any Final Fantasy title my interest would peak. If there was a collection pack that had every Final Fantasy game I would buy it. If Square Enix can tell me what the hell Genesis is up to with Weiss's body I'd be greatful. If they can make a great FF MMORPG my hands would clap together. If Hironobu Sakaguchi become the game director for Final Fantasy XV I would have a orgasm.
But....I'll keep my eyes and ears open.
Very nice to see you back here NeoGen buddy (For those who do not know, he is a former FFE officer and our resident FFVII Expert... I still consider him until now)!
True, many faithful FFE members and officers have already turned in adults, thus, preferred or necessitated their focus into the more adult things or pressing matters of life. I think, I'm the only one (at 29 years old), still not over my forums and gaming message board life. :P
As for me, just to get a remake of Final Fantasy VII (our common fave Neo), I'll immediately have multiple climaxes. LOL
If they remake VII they should make Vincent have more importance. Make Vincent talk more. Sorry FG but have Vincent replace Cloud as main character. Now if this happened, it sadly won't, I would be thrilled. I think VIII probably would need a remake more because it would give VIII a popularity boost. VII is already really popular.johngrose77FFVII may already be very popular but I think we want it more than an FFVIII remake. Mabey then all the people who didnt get to play it could, besides FFVIII had more things than FFVII since for 1 the players didnt look like big blocks.

We have more important things to do. The generation that matters now are instead joining other forums site and/or joining clans and they're websites. Plus there are alot of Unions on GS that will have a scattered number of people trying to preserve the Unions. Its a losing battle.
