This thread will be used to discuss the latest updates for Final Fantasy XIV and chat about what we think about it. This website will especially be used after the release of Final Fantasy XIII-2, when square enix can focus on this game more. First things first does anyone know anything about a demo for Final Fantasy XIV or its storyline?
Personally, I don't really care what they do with it. No matter how much they improve it, I still won't be interested. I just hope they take this as a sign and abandon the MMO idea in the future.
That may not be the case, FFXV is supposed to be an action game. SE may not notice but FFXIII was perfect, or about as perfect as it will get. Dont even matter I made this topic Dec 22.
An action game? You mean an action/rpg like Kingdom Hearts? That's the way they're supposed to be going with Vs isn't it? Crisis Core and Type Zero fit here as well so maybe it's their new standard.
I got lost in the world of FFXI for about a year and a half. I got it the first day it came out. It was pretty fun when you find yourself a good team or become part of a Clan. The game was great at one point and really terrible during my end. But I'm glad I got to experience it first hand. I was hoping to give FFXIV a try on the PS3. Guess that won't be happening anytime soon.
That fact that it's been out for well over a year & SE's still tinkering with trying to make it a good game doesn't give me much hope. You'd think it would have been solved by now. Let's see what this 2.0 version does to the game. They might have scared alot of potential buyers by now. I know they have to try and salvage it and make some type of money off of it but I think they're better off focusing on something else. They got a lot of other money makers they can be making right now...Like FFVSXIII or Kingdom Hearts 3 or a proper remake of FFVI, VII, VIII on the PS3 or Vita...and localizing FF Type 0.
We might never see a proper release of FFXIV on the PS3 at this rate. If I just had a better computer, I'd probably try out the Star Wars MMO. For some reason, I want to get into one...but not one that's established like a WoW. I want to get one that's fairly new so I get to experience it from the beginning and grow with it. But I have tons of games that should be getting all my undivided attention.
I want it to be on the computer or xbox360 lol or even on a new console.. my ps3 is broken lol.. but I think they got a team from blizzard (world of warcraft) to help work on it so it should be okay :)
