the review of ffxii by ign(http://ps2.ign.com/articles/741/741992p4.html), states that the loading times are "lightning quick..", is this true? but i kinda doubt it coz i remember Fantasy_gamer saying that the loading times are long sometimes

for the most part they are quick but simple things that you seem to use alot (like the -select button- Map) seem to take longer than they should.. for me anyway..

actually that is a very good point. the scale of the on screen map is not ideal so you constantly have to switch to the main map with select and this should be responding quicker. im surprised you simply cannot hit a button to adjust the scale of the on screen map

That doesn't sound like that big of a problem though. It could be much worse.

I can't wait till I get the game. I'm not the slightest dissapointed with the map problem, but I like how it loads "lightning quick" tho. I used to hate in other games when the loading screens took 20-40 secs just to get into a level and 30 more secs just to get to the next stage. Can't wait, and thx.

yes, I'm having this same issue the onscreen map is too small, and it confuses the hell out of you when your trying to navigate. some official reviews I have read have pointed this out as well. Too bad you can't make it bigger or something..

I hate UPS. I wish Gamespot.com had a FedEx option. Normally, when UPS sends a delivery it's past 5pm. But when I get home from class around 12pm FedEx normally has whatever I order waiting for me. It is almost 6:30pm EST and Final Fantasy XII hasn't came yet. My ghetto email confirmation still says on time(Out for Delivery 10/31/06). :(

well my copy got some quick loading time, same in my import copy. but whats the big deal anyway, it's just loading times. normally the slowest loading time you can get in the game is 3 seconds.

It's not likely for games to be there the exact day it comes out. Takes time for it to ship to the stores, then, to your house.

Well, I've tracked packages before RIGHT after they shipped and something would come up, but it's saying there is no package. :( What the hell is going on...anyway, about the loading times (I rented it) and they can be bad. But nothing too bad. lol It pretty much is just the map screen that annoys me the most.

at times they can reach probably 7 seconds for my game. but i wouldnt think someone would burst out in anger just because there is a 7 second loading time inbetween screens.
