Not that I care, but, according to the Portuguese psm2, right after the end of the 2006 E3, Motomu Toriyama said that the girl, "Lightning", that appeared in the trailer isn't the main character!!!, but is going to play an important role in the game.
man....they're makin this 13 thing to damn technical.....seriously, if they add anymore twists into what they're doing with this thing ill flip my fricken lid
There hasn't been enough shown of FF XIII for me to start drawing even simple conclusions about it. Until they start creating trailers that are a bit more in depth (as opposed to being teasers, which are sometimes previews of an early, unfinalized product), everything in the entire game is subject to change.
Maybe that's why I'm not too gonzo over it yet. The U.S. has seen tons of FF XII, not only because it's been finished for awhile but also because it's been released overseas. I honestly don't even remember any teaser trailers, and there was little to no talk of it before FF XI was released. It feels like SquareEnix is jumping the gun big time on this and we're not gonna hear any fresh news on it for a long time.
im hyped! yea i had a feeling she couldnt be to important, if lightning is her name she isnt the main character, dont know why i just feel it. i am prepared to be wrong though should it come to that.
its a long way off so i'm gonna simply ignore it so i don't get depressed when they push back the release date as they usualy do but when it dose come out i'll be all over it :D
It's hard for me to be hyped about 13 when 12 hasn't even been realized yet. I'm saving up the Best Buy giftcard I got on my birthday so I can use it to buy my pre-order. :)

She's probably the protagonist and there will be some other main character, like in FFX Yuna was the protagonist and Tidus was the main character (lol i might have that switched around but i believe you get my point)
AH! The TGS! Mmmm, its like Christmas coming twice a year. If the PS3 has launched by then there might be something new on FFXIII but I ain't holding my breath for it. Next E3 I'll be expecting something though, definitely.

...ok....that was quite random with the raiden mortal kombat thing...but ok.... and the overdrive thing...idk about that, unless the overdrives consist of the characters changing their look and fighting styles or something...

True, but plenty of girls call themselves Sam or Joe, which are also a men's names. Also, she ain't exactly a girlie girl, so a guys name would fit if they wanted to. Actually, its not worth making the point over a joke that seemed to be greeted by crickets chirping, its not like I actually think they should call her Raiden so I'm not sure why I'm arguing the point.
