final fantasy 13... or is it!?

final fantasy 13 looks awesome and i cant wait too play it.

also i wanna play a final fantasy 7 remake, and theirs alot of speculation wether or not their making one.

what if final fantasy 13 is really a final fantasy 7 remake. in the trailer their on a train and you can see some of the background which COULD be midgar. also they've only showed us 2 characters, the new good character and the evil character. why else would they do that unless they were hiding the final fantasy 7 characters? unless theyre making this a single-player real-time fighting game. also this game seems too have that mix of technology, magic, and swords and such just like final fantasy 7. also in the trailer the new character (i heard from somewhere that her name is thunder) is fighting people, in my opinion, they look similar too those of the shinra soldiers and they even have the shinra dogs too boot.

i have no proof what-so-ever that im right. but its a possibility, a possibilty that i so hope is true.

I don't want to put the smackdown too hard here because I can tell you're an excited fan just like me. :) But Square-Enix has never been shy about remakes, nor have they ever called a remake anything but what it is. For myself, I also would sink my well-earned money into an FFVII remake, but I am also extremely excited about a whole new Final Fantasy on the PS3, even if the main character has a lame handle like "Lightning."

I mean, if Square wanted to, they could've just started remaking FFs for new consoles after VI came out, but then we never would have gotten the first iteration of the almight VII, nor my personal favorite, X. No, I would love to see FFVII one more time just like you, but I'm rooting for a great XIIIth chapter as well.

Somehow, I doubt that. It would be pretty bad if they got us all really excited for a new, XIIIth chapter after all this time and at the end be like "it's actually a VII remake!". That would definetely not bode well for VII-haters. :P

YOU cant give the sacred ff number to a game that already has a number and give it a different one. i love 7 but would be appalled if ff13 was actually ff7. it would let SE down completely, as everyone got excited for nothing.

if you truly like a game you like the original, not just the remake, so i personally would like 7 mmore than a remake i think.

im not saying that it would be a remake, what if it was a whole new chapter of final fantasy 7.

Another little thing connecting the two is the fact that I heard "Lightning" was created as a female version of Cloud.Cloud_Strife37x

Almost every action in combat is determined by crystals....
Well..... crystallized Lifestream, but still crystal :P
