Final Fantasy Olympics...

What do you think of the idea of making a sports-party game hybrid that will feature our favoirte FF characters in different sports events?

Maybe, it would be good to incorporate the events in the olympics, together with some nostalgic FF games like Chocobo Racing, Blitzball, Snowboarding, etc.

Well, I'd rather play this kind of game than play the official olympics-themed games. :P Besides, not all so many of us has access to the Itadaki series. I don't want Smash Bros... that's why I'm thinking of this concept that will involve my favorite FF characters.

I would probably say, omg this is the worst **** idea I have ever seen for a game.

besides they already have itadaki street special and portable for party games with ff characters

If Mario and Sonic could do it, why not FF characters ? :P I'd much rather have a dragoon doing athletics than some obese plumber.

That would be...well...interesting.

I could see Tidus or Wakka always winning the swimming events. Kain or Freya would always win the high jump. Balthier, Vincent or Irvine would dominate shooting. Sephiroth would try to compete in Fencing, but would be disqualified because is lance would be too long... Zell would dominate boxing and Tifa would mop the floor with everyone in Judo. Quina would take gold in Wrestling (and then try to eat the medal). Archery is where the real battle would be between Fran, Rosa and Edward. Edward would ultimately fall short and not do much leaving Fran and Rosa in a heated match. Vaan would participate in the High Dive and shock the world...as his painted-on abs wash off when he gets out of the pool. Yuna and Rikku would both be on the Water Polo team although Yuna would end up being penalized for excessive, and unnecessary, use of the word "Poopie"... Sabin would take Weightlifting hands down. Celes and Gogo would do synchronized diving and swimming. Celes would come up with intricate and beautiful routines and Gogo would "do what he does best".

i think that its a good idea i think we need more ff games that r 2 or more player and i dont think i could see sephoroth fencing since i do it, knowing sephorith i think he would kill his opnent and then take the gold by force after killing everone else in the arena and then proceed to pry the gold medals from the dead corpses blackend crispy hands but it still sounds like a fun gamedragpon

Sorry, FG, I don't think it's a dumb idea but I wouldn't be into it myself. Even in regular FF games, I'll only play side games to a certain extent. Blitzball was the absolute worst, IMO.SymonDezyn

Guys, don't be too mean to FFX-2. *sarcasm* :lol: Seriously, FFX2 is not really a bad game. It's just that, it cannot be helped to compare it to the other Final Fantasy games, which are way better than it. As an independent game in itself, it is still a fun game, to say the least... Not to mention it's great share of frustrating things in the world of FF.

That battle system was okay, I suppose. everything else though was unsatisfactory to me. I had to force myself to beat the game...

I mean, the whole point of X-2 was to make a direct sequel to X, hence the name. And the fact that it was the only sequel in the entire series at the time didn't help. :P

If they made it more actiony and fast-paced, then a blitzball game could be good. Of course they could add a career mode of some sort and be able to look at stats of other teams to get real in-depth.

FFx2 was just terrible i havent personally met anyone who beat that big dragon in the cave on the thunderplains (thats where i think it was anyways) which was after the big concert. Enough about FFX2 and its disapointfullness back to the olympics...

Well if they did make an olympics game i would probly buy it just for blitzball, card battling and the occasional chocobo race, granted that it wasnt over 30$CAN maybe 35 if they included some new ones and considered card battling an olympic sport.
