Final Fantasy X, X-2, XII Collection in HD

First there was God of War Collection. Then, more prominent titles follow suit...

Prince of Persia HD Collection

Splinter Cell Trilogy

Tomb Raider Trilogy

Now, I can't help, but think about seeing FFX, X-2 and XII in HD. How about you? 

you almost got me excited there. My FFX copy finaly died today as I can't get passed the Farplane scene so I'm about to go buy a new copy. (I'm replaying it for the nostalgia, it has almost been 2 years O.O)

I hope they do that though. I'd get it fo'sho

although i recently got the prince of persia collection and the HD isnt the brightest idea...

im fairly sure the prince of persia isnt supposed to look like a lego man >_>

I would get that just for Final fantasy X, the only Final Fantsay games I really like much on PS2 honestly, are X and Dirge of Cerberous. And I love X.lazyathew

But it is aparent that shooters are not squares strong suit. It is flawed, but I still think it's quite enjoyable.

I've been trying to tell myself that the reasons for why a person likes a game don't need to be logical.

Hell, once upon a time I really liked FFVIII....until I opened my mind and realized just how inconsistent it was.

In other words, I guess you don't need this and that to end up liking a game. Sometimes the game just 'sets the mood' for you, ya know?

There's actually a Christian Bale movie called Equilibrium where they practice "Gun-Kata's", a form of Kung-Fu with fire-arms. Despite how ridiculous that sounds, it's actually a pretty awesome film.

As for X, X-2 and XII HD. They need to put something out for us PS3 Slim owners cuz it isn't backwards compatible with PS2.cjimrun

i think sony even offered a new ps3 for 60gb people in place...

maybe it was just certain stores :P

I believe it is hardware and cost related. The PS3 60gb had a PS2 built into it cuz PS2 games require an extra component to run. I think it was called a "Dream chip" or something like that...but I may have made that up. Either way, the PS2 portion was removed to make the Slim, which lowered cost to boost sales.cjimrun

Honestly, I think the reason they got rid of PS2 backwards compatablilty is because PS2's still sell, and they don't want to lose that money.

That's probably it.  I have no doubt that we'll see the PS2 FFs as downloads eventually anyway.  These are big titles so why pass-up a chance to squeeze some extra bucks out of them.

You would think that square would release more of their older titles on the network as well. Seeing how Lightning and Aye from parasite eve can wear each others costumes in the 3rd birthday or duodecim I got interested in parasite eve. Of course the first two games were both on the PS1 so I'm so confused as to why they aren't on the store. I also agree that it stinks that PS3s aren't backward compatible and as per the Equilibrium discussion earlier; its an awesome movie and after that the director made Ultraviolet with Milla Jovovich whom I think is just totally awesome. Its one of my favorite movies! I'm not saying it is the greatest movie or anything I just really like it and we see the gun kata again like in equilibrium.Lightning__Evil

I never got into Parasite Eve myself, but I might if they become available for download.  I don't 100% trust Square with anything that isn't a console, single-player jrpg though, cuz their attempts to branch out often backfire.  On top of Parasite Eve, they should also throw the Chronicles, Anthology and Origins collections on there.  And if Ultraviolet is anything like Equilibrium, I may have to check it out.

Yes, but some may not want to pay hardcopy price for games they've already played.  Or ANY older generation games for that matter.  $10 download sounds about right to me.  Cuts down on clutter too.

I collect graphic novels. When it comes to games, I'm a minimalist. I downloaded FFVII, VIII, IX and Tactics as soon as I could, but the hardcopies are long gone.
