Not everyone thinks XII is better than X, I liked it because it actually gave me a challenge and XII side quest is better than Blitz ball and that monster creation thing.
I liked FFX, but people made it out to be an RPG of the gods. Needless to say, I didn't see what was so great. Going a bit off-topic, I thought Tactics did the whole religion thing much better, and had a protagonist I actually liked.
I thought FFXII was a great game. I cared for the characters other than Penelo, and the story was great IMO. I also liked the battle system a lot more.

I personally prefer FFX over FFXII. The characters felt as if each of them a a nice role and personality in the game while in FFXII some characters played their parts only at several places. The environment and cut-scenes looked more alive and action oriented, while FFXII seemed to focus more on quite and coversational cut-scenes than balancing them with action scenes.
Don't get me wrong, I liked FFXII's battle system, the expanded world and its dungeons, but when it comes to the story, movies and overall feel, I prefer FFX ;)

I can't get over with the XII's battle system, poor story and lame characters, so I'll have to say X - besides, X was my first FF. It will always be close to my heart :P

I'm actually surprised that so many are voting for XII :? I had no idea people liked that game so much. If at all.
I would have to say that my first play-through of Final Fantasy XII still made me put FFX first. I'm replaying the game right now, and I just like how everything is a bit more open-ended.

Like I stated in the other thread. FFX I really liked all the characters but overall I really enjoyed XII more. I just wish Vaan didn't look like he could be a male or female lol. But that is my preference and everyones is different.
