How did you name Tidus in Final Fantasy X?

We know ppl have difrent imagination, but the thing is I want to know yours;)

When I first played ffx I left His real name, but at second time I named him after myself Nace it was kinda fun, but did you ever see, nobody called him after his name.And in ffx-2 they preferred to call him: HIM(I hate that band btw:P)

I named him after myself too.

I left his name as Tidus.

When I first started playing RPGs I would name the main character after myself, which is what I did for the first 3 that I played (Pokemon Yellow, FFVII, Golden Sun) and then after that when I played FFX I decided to keep the main characters name as the default one and now I never alter the names.

I've always been one to keep the default names with the exception of FFI where there are no "default" names and in VII, I always rename Red XIII to his real name (Nanaki). I just like to hear / read the story with the real character's names. Plus, I'm not that creative when it comes to naming...Ebi_Furya

I did that the last time I played FFVII (the time before my current playthrough) but for this one I just left it as Red XIII, since you aren't really supposed to know what his real name is until you get to Cosmo Canyon. Although I must say I did find it kind of strange how Square labels him as Red XIII in everything else though like the Advent Children movie for example.

Yeah, I like the part when they call him Nanaki, and Cloud says "Who is Nanaki?" even though they've been calling him that throughout the whole game up to that point :P

That is hilarious! I've never seen that comic strip before now so it's not where I got the Red Mage avatar from. I just chose it because I like the Red Mage. ;) But thanks for pointing out the comic.

When I named him that on my second play-through, I didn't even think about what it would say when you made it to Cosmo Canyon, but that line made me laugh so hard...

I kept his name the same.

I always name my main characters in game BondULVA. If the game don't allow that many characters I name them ULVA.

Once when I played FF VII I named all chars like my famalies names, so they were famaly and then my girlfriend died(Aeris):(nackopacko

I'm not going to say what names I had for VII when I first played it as a younger person....they were a bit inmmature. :P

I used to name characters random names like Snake, Link, Jesus, Kratos and so on lol. I gave up, I found that it ruined the story so now I name them there original names.FondOfFire

I've played it 9 or 10 times and I mainly kept his name Tidus or used my name.

Same here. I like to keep the character's authencity throughout the game.
