How do you like FFXII?

Final Fantasy XII was kind of a surprise too me in some cases. Sometimes you can never trust a Japanese review, but this time around I have to say that what was said of the import version remains true with the North American release. Before I was hesistant to pick it up all those weeks ago until the first real English trailer released, but even hearing what some of our FFE importers had to say I was still unsure.

So I pre-ordered and UPS finally dropped it off at 10:00pm EST at my house on Halloween. That entire night I played and got use to the game. Right from the start it has so much to offer. It might take time to get use to but you'll jump right into it. If you missed out on any of those new-age RPGs, then Final Fantasy XII will put you right at home while showing you something new.

I have the Collectors Edition game and guide and I was surprised that there were more extra's on the bonus disk that I expected (but while I did the play all feature it did freeze and I had to restart >.> ) And the Guide is awesome, my favorite guide for any game I've ever bought.

But game wise I'm liking it so far, I'm not really too far yet because I'm trying to do all the side quests and stuff as well as level (which takes awhile) but I like the characters and the story is getting better going forward (Balflear is a really cool character). Only problems I have so far is the little map that I wish could be adjusted to make it bigger. and The voice overs at times (like Vaan and Penelo) seem alittle low quality.. the voice actors are good and everything it just seems like mic/booth issues if that makes any sence.

sorry but i have to be honest im not enjoying it as much as i feel i should. The battles are not as fun as the old ones and i plain do not like the license board.

man i was the first one 2 play this game ... cause i got my hands on a pirated version of ENGLISH FFXII in the beggening of the 10t month which means a month earlier than the original release date. now ive finished the game with a 400 hours timer.lion_heart_eva

MUST HAVE !! It's the game of the year no doubt, the game we all waited for since FFX came out! How i like it? One word only: MAGIC :shock:

Screw random battles man. This is, far and away, the best battle system in the entire series. It is alot of fun. The gambits are excellent. Finally, I don't have to waste time doing tedious and repetitive tasks like casting heal over and over again. I can focus on the ass kicking. I love it. I hope FF never has random battles again. The lisense board is great as well. I like it. Very cool. The story is amazing, and the voice acting is, far and away, the best the series has seen, surpassing even the movies. The script is also the best of the entire series, by far. Dialogue is intellegent, and it doesn't have moments where you just have to shake your head. Graphically, it is a technical marvel for it's system. The CGI cut scenes are almost movie quality, even better than DoC, and the in game graphics are better than any previous game in the series, save maybe FFXI 360. It looks absolutely phenominal. Everything in it has more detail than any previous FF game, and there is more on screen than any previous FF. This makes the world a joy to explore, and what a world it is. Very beatiful and very big. There is alot to see in it, and it is all done with artistic flare. Every crack and crevice of this game has been fine tuned to a sharp point. This is what I have been waiting for from FF for a long, long time. Very impressive SE.fs_metal

well i started playing the JP ver way back in June...i didnt really get the NA ver until 3 days ago but still im very impress on how the release in NA turned out.
