I'm one of the lucky few that has been blessed with patience and the ability to not get mind-numbingly bored doing the same thing over and over...#1 all the way!

I am a fan of doing #1, but not too much. Just get like 5-10 levels above everything near the beginning. Once enemies catch up again, repeat. I think they tried to hamper the ability to out-level the bosses in XII, because of the shield things that prevented any damage from going through. Too bad once you've leveled up, the bosses cant hurt, so its just a pain to wait.

I always go with 2. The overall experience is ruined playing with overleveled characters the early-mid stages of a game.

I'd like to do a 2, but I spend most of my time fighting to buy all the gear at the shop, instead of leveling up

No. 2, but after I have beaten the last boss, I reload my game and do number 1. I only did no. 3 when I played my No Sphere Grid Challenge in Final Fantasy X.

No. 2

As if you stay in one place and just fight, fight, fight to raise your level it makes the game boring.

Im for the number 2. When Im stuck I always go the place where you can easly get high level and a lot of items and money. Like in FF XII I went to yemna(or what are they called) place to fight on those oil plattforms to get a lot of license points and a big chain about 200 (but then the thing is you get borred:P)

I usually end up doing 3 in every FF game I played because I try to do 2 and then i fall behind because I want to hear the story because It's always good. then I have to take like 3 hours training to a good level. I don't like it :?

I usually do number 1 after I've finished an FF game once; I try to max level at the earliest stage possible. I had fun doing this when executing the Donton Berry trick in FFX, where I planned to max the sphere grid for at least 3 characters. It really depends actually if you can find an interesting area with strong monsters that give lots of AP, and also if you have the patience to stay that long for some time.

Trust me, the rest of the game becomes easier along with more comfortable boos fights and less running away from encounters. :)

Aw it's not that hard. Just requires some patient work to be done, I guess. Even better when you are playing with a reliable guide. :)

Typically number 2, FFXII was the only one where I felt like I had to be overleveled at points, in order for me to be able to do the hunts

For the most part I do #2, and in many cases its not for attempting it. I simply play the game at the pace that it requires and level when I feel I should. Basically what any other FF gamer would do. Not to say that there aren't times where no. 1 & 3 come into the equation, There's cases when I'm either to strong and fly through it, and then there are times when I struggle on a boss. But for the largest margin I keep it at a no. 2.

Blitz Your level high earlier in the game, and just cruise the rest of the game. I always do that I usually spend a week in the 1st chapter collecting and maxing every stat up for my 3 main characters sometimes I max out a 4th person and then I proceed with the story , at the beginning of each chapter I always do the side-quest or just walk to every part of the game enviroment soo I can see where Iam, and yes I click everywhere even where theres no treasure chest or things too do, click here click there I dont know for some reason I might find something I missed. :)
