How long do you think ff13 is?

:P I guess I'm just expecting a lot more out of this game since it's been in the works for a while...

Yeah, most RPG's are around that long, excluding optional of course. It may take longer than that though if it is your first playthrough, since you won't be as experienced with the game or as knowledgable with the game and possibly get lost much more frequently. 

I've been so worried it's going to be short and with only four, or possibly five characters, that it will get boring quickly. The world also seems very small with Pulse and Cocoon being the only two areas (think about FFVII with only Midgar and a small outside world). I hope we can go in space and underground like FFIV.

I hope FFXV has a lot of characters like FFVI, but then again a small cast is easier for character development.

Main story is 40-60 ish hours

Side quests is about 20 hours or so

Gathering powerful equips takes 10-15hours depending on if you know the location or not and depending whether you need to go through some darned trials or battles to get it.

Total self training time is about 20-50 hours I reckon(If your intent on being lvl 99)

3-16 hours for bonus bosses.

15 hours or so waiting through cutscenes and dialogs.

Well I won't be surprised if it's over 100+ hours if your intent on finishing the game completely.I always bring my character up to the max level(Other than FFVIII.I'm more intent on the Card games to turn cards into materials for my G.Fs),find every scrape of treasure,fight and win all bonus bosses etc. etc.

I never finished FFV, but I believe there are two and a third world that combines the first two. Correct me if I'm wrong.
