don't remember exactly, but it was towards the end, remember auron had alot of secrets, things he would never talk about, it was something like during the last war with Sin, he lost his arm or something and the rebels or someone hooked him up with a machina arm, remember he always had a glove on, he was hiding it the whole time

i really hope i didnt dream this, because I swear it happened, either that or i'm confusing this with I, Robot

He had his arm in his sleave because he acts like a ronin.  He even has a vase called a tokkuri which holds rice wine.
