Is a 2D Final Fantasy still acceptable to you?

At this point in time, we cannot deny the big influence of graphics in how many gamers see a game as "good" or "bad", but it's not our issue in this thread. Given the fact that graphics factor is already there and the fact that "3D" is THE trend now, are you still amenable for, at least, the idea of having a future FF installment be made into 2D?

We've seen what HD graphics can do in 2D... Final Fantasy 1 and 2 were remade in the PSP and both have crisp, sharp 2D graphics that is very pleasing to the eyes.

So, does 2D still has a space in your heart for the FF series?

Okay. Let's put a little test to our stand. Do we think we could enjoy FFVII-XIII the way we enjoyed it if it were made in 2D instead of 3D?Fantasy_Gamer

Releasing another 2D Final Fantasy (in the main series) would be pretty puzzling. Final Fantasy has only gotten better with the graphics with each new game and to just go back to 2D wouldn't make any sense at all.

Not to say I have any problem with it.

Perhaps in terms of story, but not graphics. It wasn't the graphics that made the early games good. I don't know if there is a single person who wants lower-quality graphics over high-quality ones.

Same here. I prefer that to the chibi DS style.

I want 8-bit graphics, but amazing music, story, gameplay, battle system, and character development.

Final Fantasy VI already had very impressive graphics for 2D :?

Impressive in the SNES standard, but it is nothing if compared to the 2D graphics of FF1 and 2 in the PSP. 

I don't really know about that, but I will agree that FFI/FFII's graphics are a lot sharper.

Also, I don't see why FFVI, or even FFV for that matter, should be remade in 2D. FFIV had worse graphics than FFVI yet it got remade in 3D, so it would be really strange to remake FFVI while still keeping it in 2D.

Another thing, how the heck am I going to get FFV and FFVI popular if they don't get remade in 3D? (preferably on the PSP, but what are the odds of that?) Just a hunch of mine, but I'd bet if they were remade in 3D, many people would enjoy them a lot more, considering the ignorance of some people toward 2D graphics.
