Yes. There are ton of other RPG series out there, but they just don't have that depth and emotional impact that this one does. But I do love the Star Ocean series as well (Star Ocean the Second Story is one of the best games ever made) but the 3rd game was a little bit of a let down.

 My favorite rpg series is tied between KOTOR and the Forgotten Realms CRPGs by Bioware (NWN, NWN 2, Baulder's Gate 2, etc.)

Yes, I love the stories and characters. However, there are alot of other good series out that I am also a fan of, like Namco's Tales series, Wild Arms, and Suikoden.

Hm... tough really, because it is but it isn't.  All the old games are a great series, but after VIII it went down hill, so im not sure really.  I dont have a perfect answer to that, but i can say which one is my fav.  It was Final Fantasy VI the story was great and I liked how each character had there own story and personality. 
Ill conclude with, if FF isn't my favourite, its either Mana, Wild Arms, or Shining Force (or w/e)

Yes, FF is easily my favorite of the RPGs.  I've played many of them, but none, especially some of the more recent ones (Xenosaga, Dark Cloud, Shadow Hearts, etc...) quite captured me the way the FF games did.  FFIX is my favorite, I think because I felt all the characters except one were exceptionally well developed.  I devoted a lot of time to that game and became so involved with it as I picked up on the themes running throughout the story.  It culminated in the most difficult boss fight I have ever had to endure (although I later discovered there was an easier way to beat it).  By the time that game was finished I was completely drained.

This is tough. I can't state yes or no. Because I love dearly all the FFs before FFX; and even though I dislike those news FFs which are being made without Sakaguchi on the group, I still go to Gamestop and buy them. I believe I'll be able to answer this when more Mistwalker games are out. Because I'm not into supporting brand names like SE but the people who creates and develops the games, names of people like Sakaguchi, Amano and so forth. And in my opinion the "dream team" is with Mistwalker. Regardless, FFVI is my favorite FF and my second best game of all time.

No, I prefer the fast paced action involved with the "Tales of" series, however the FF stories are much more satisfying.

Besides Valkyrie Profile, the FF games are my top favorite rpg series out there. The Shadow Hearts and Shin Megami Tensai are close second in my list.

Yes, Final Fantasy is my most favorite game series. I mostly like Final Fantasy 7 and Final Fantasy 12(so far), very kick-ass games!

I like everything about Final Fantasy, its' characters, its' storylines, its' weapons, its' bosses, its' music, its gameplay, its' maps, and a whole lotta more!!

I have a really big place in my heart for the Chrono series, but I've never played any game more than FFVII(I used to have 2 mem cards for it) exept maybe MSG.

Kingdom Hearts is by far, my favorite series, RPG, and game of all time! It has everything that I love about it. Many people flame it, but I love the game so much. The story is the best ever!

I do love Final Fantasy's too. Although I haven't played all of them, I have played VII, X, X-2 (which was a let down!), and XII. My favorite so far has been XII, probably because I'm still playing it, and really really like it. It has to be one of my most favorite games also.

Well,it's between Suikoden and Final Fantasy but I think I'll choose Final Fantasy as Final Fantasy Tactics was my favorite game of all times.

Ah, FS beat me to it.  Though I am sort of glad that there are others who instantly pounce on anyone claiming Zelda an RPG.

Oh, too the question ummm...  I would have to say I do enjoy the Chrono games, but if a Final Fantasy and a Chrono game came out at the same time....  Er...  I might explode.  I also liked Valkyrie Profile a lot, the gameplay was incredibly enjoyable and the storyline progression was very interesting.  No wimpy last minute moral decisions for a different ending, you had to WORK for that better ending.  Though if its too hard to do like in Star Ocean 2 where the alternate final boss was INSANE (I was lvl. 165 and still couldn't beat him....) its not worth it.  Ironically, both games by Tri-Ace with that great late 90's Tri-Ace soundtrack that you can identify instantly.
