its worth it if you can over look the bad graphics. Looking at how cheap it is now i'd say that you might as well i mean its not like it'd bankrupt youRedNEXUSI suppose it is worth it, I just bought another copy, but it was over forty dollars! I wish I would have found it cheap... but still it was worth it.
in my store its £24.99, im not sure what that is in dollars but as a rough guess its around $39.99. Apparently its very expensive because theres so few copys in UK but i think he was just trying to encourage me to buy it.e10mgsSo then you did not believe the guy, which is why your asking others?
If your a fan of the series then why not , but beware it have a low quality graphics .
For me I will buy all of them starting from FF1 to FF13 , that mean I have to play from NES games (just 8-bit) , to PS3 .
Bottom line : Don't buy it , it's expensive , and I think you will regret it .
definitely.. do it. shabby graphics, although it was the best at the time, but you'll get so cought up in the story and forget all about graphics. animations are still cool.
and the materia system is great:)
go get it and hopefully before you finish it the Re-Release will happen,

you mean they will remake it for ps3?....if that so eh its hard believe that they would
Im new to the series but i played X and XI and really enjoyed them. I saw a copy of FFVII in my local Game and i was wondering if its still worth buying. Its because im not sure if its one of those games which you have to experience at the time of the release, when the graphics are new and the gameplay is fresh. Anyway is it worth buying?e10mgs
Im pretending that I havent read that.

No Remake
Unlike other genres, RPGs are really easy to come back too. I honestly believe that a lot people on FFE have gone back to play Chrono Trigger in the last 5 years. For me, I always like to take out the Genesis and play Shining Force. Final Fantasy VII is one of the best RPGs of all time[just like Chrono Trigger]. Most of the FF games aren't really multi-layered when it comes to storyline, and you don't really have to go off the linear design in order to understand what's going on(besides FFXI). You can play the game from beginning to end and of course you get the traditional heroic storyline. As with Final Fantasy VII, it isn't the same, because you can play through the game the first or second time around, and miss so much.
My first time playing, I didn't grab the "secret character" Vincent who I believe is important as Cloud, I didn't understand the concept of cloning, didn't visit the Nibelheim Mansion's basement towards the end of the 2nd disc, I didn't visit Professor Gast's home, etc, etc. Anyone who's played FFVII knows that if you haven't visited specific areas, talk to certain characters, or didn't take the time to read information you basically screwed yourself over. Squaresoft didn't give everything you need to know on the linear path from beginning to end. Only curious players were able to put "two and two" together. There are still people going around saying that Jenova is still Sephiroth's mother.
As with a remake; no project on Square Enix's schedule. Even though know it'll happen, the question is.."when"? That's a hopeful thought.

If the PlayStation 1 graphics put you of, i suggest you wait until the game gets remade on PlayStation 3.

If a person plays a game for the graphics, then they have issues. Yes, the graphics help in the experience of the game, but it should be the story, the music and many other things combined that make you get a game.
