yer there's that stupid formula thingy...personally i dnt use yojimbo at all for the most part anyway tho, i'd rather get attacks for free like every other aeon...lol
How sad is this.. I have over 250 hours on one of my saves. All of my characters have their sphere grids maxed out with no empty spaces(I filled them). Yojimbo is my favorite summon in the game, and I use him the most. I have never gotten zanmato even once. Not that it's necessary, because I can easily beat all the original guys. Eh, I guess I don't follow the "formula" or anything, haha.

Well, I loved Yojimbo because you really have to train him to like you. If he does the dog or knife attack too many times, your friendship level goes down. So I would only save if he used Wakizashi (sp?). After some time, he will do Zanmato voluntarily quite often, especially if you fight big enemies.
Believe me, Yojimbo isn't being generous, he is just using the Zanmato formula.

What Zanmato formula? I only give him I gil... Then 2... 3... 4... etc. The last time I gave him was about 24 gil. :P
OMFG 0_o if i ever want zanmato i have to give him thousands :| hence why i never use him..lol, anima and bahamut are more effective for the most part anyway...:|

I suggest, you try to fight tha tspecial Iron Giant monster in the monster arena. Just give your You jimbo 1 gil every turn. That giant will miss 100%Â a Yojimbo with 200 or more evasion stat. Keep trying. Eventually you'll see "your" elusive Zanmato. :)
