Are you playing a final fantasy game at the moment? or even just talk about the last one you ever played... Describe your battle team. Your current objective. Your setting within the game whatevr you want!

Currently I'm playing Final Fantasy XIII, I just got to the point in the game on the Paramecium airship and now I have my entire battle team to choose from. I will use Light, Snow and Sazh. I have maxed the blazefire saber and I don't know how to transform it... :( I'm going to upgrade my crystarium and press on.. I don't work tmrw :P but I need to make a phonecall early before 9 am

I am actually playing through the Final Fantasy IV complete collection...still need to beat the After Years. I have beaten IV so many times;the Complete Collection makes the fourth time.

I am playing Dissidia duodecim as well. I am going through the Main Scenario 000. So in need of unlocking desperado Chaos. My strongest characters in the game surprisingly are Onion Knight(really fast) and Cecil(do not know why). I also have a few DLC's I would like to buy such as some alternate costumes and music.

Will be playing another FInal Fantasy on January 31:)

I am currently playing two Final Fantasy games. I am in the middle of Final Fantasy II 20th Anniversary Edition and I also just started Final Fantasy VIII for only my second time playing it through. I'm not a big FFVIII fan, though I know there are a lot of people who have deemed it the greatest ever. For me it's just okay. Don't care for the junction system, the weapons upgrade system, or the drawing system. Triple Triad is a blast to play though! Especially if you understand how to properly alter the rules.

I am playing FFII as well, on my I-Phone. I'm also spending all the time I can on XIII-2 with a little Dissidia Duodecim here and there (my favourite Square game in recent memory).

I've been playing XIII-2 and I did start a playthrough in VII which I kinda got away from so maybe I'll get back to that and I've also had a craving to play duodecim but at the moment just XIII-2. If anyone wants/needs assistance about anything in XIII or XIII-2 just ask;)

Dude, you have got to get back to Final Fantasy VII and finish it!  Hands down it has one of the best stories of any video game in history.  It may not be the pinnacle of visual brilliance anymore but I'm telling you, the story and the memorable characters more than make up for it.

It's a long one...and pretty tough sometimes. But polish that off and you can jump right into XIII-2.

I'm trying to finish FFXIII so I can play FFXIII-2, but unfortunately being a completionist and having a busy semester do not work well together. I will finish it eventually...

XIII takes a long time to do everything. It's a long game to begin with, and then there are a lot of missions and you have to 5-star all of them. Plus getting enough trapezohedrons to get each character's ultimate weapon requires a tonne of grinding. The nice thing is, it's nearly impossible to miss anything so 100% completion is really just a matter of putting-in the time. If you want the platinum, it will be yours.

I want to go back and do 100% for 13 at some point but in all honesty I've completed it 3 times now and just kinda stopped. Maybe I'll do that at some point but for now I'm gonna keep working on XIII-2 and maybe I'll find the time to get back to VII this weekend.

I would say after 3 playthroughs to forget about XIII and focus more on other games in the series, particularly VII. I know it's hard though to deal with such dated presentation when there's no nostalgia factor attached to it. I played VII when it was brand new and believe me, it was a VERY big deal back then. Nothing before or available at the time came close to comparing to it and it took the gaming world by storm.

1. I killed the spider [think it was poisonious]

2. i think it depends on the rating of the game and the release date.

I kinda doubt it was poisonous unless you saw any bright yellow or red on it, no that those are the only poisonous ones but considering where you live there shouldn't be any poisonous spiders in that area. It probably will depend on the release date in which case go with Resonance of Fate, White Knight Chronicles, or maybe Star Ocean.

I know what you mean.  FFVII was a huge deal for me also.  It was the end of a gaming era for me and the start of a whole new one. Prior to December 1997 I only had a NES and a Sega Genesis.  My parents bought my brother and I a Playstation, FFVII, and Metal Gear Solid for Christmas that year.  Both of those games are epic.  FFVII was the crown jewel for me though.  I had begged and pleaded with my folks for months to get me a Playstation and FFVII for Christmas.  I remember hooking up the Playstation that morning and putting in FFVII and my brother and I watching the opening sequence just mind-blown.  I had played FFI on the NES and FFVI (III in the US) on the SNES previously so I had already been familiar with the FF series...but nothing could have prepared me for the adventure of FFVII.

My mind had been almost equally blown by VI prior to this and I pretty much played it over and over again until VII came out. I consider those 2 games to be really close in style, as though they took what they had done right with VI and just made it 3D for VII.

VII reigns supreme in my books. It was much grittier than VI and had a far deeper story. Many of us have played it through multiple times but we could easily have a topic to debate what "really happened". I'm also a huge fan of the character design. Many of the classic job-types are represented, but in such original and interesting ways. Tifa for example is a "Monk" type, but also a busty barmaid. Cid is a "Dragoon", but he's also a chain-smoker with a trucker mouth. These classes had never been presented in such a way before, and Square has not done a better job since imo.

Only 160:P Most of them actually aren't that difficult to get. You get probably about or almost 40 just by following the story mode and the rest are primarily completed via fetch quests or killing a certain monster. The 9 quiz fragments in Academia 4XX are nye impossible to get without help so look up answers online, otherwise good luck with those. Another annoying one is complete the beastiary by defeating every monster in the game. Not hard exactly just time consuming although it gives you something to do once the story is completed in

Still, I'm only 23 or 24 hours into XIII-2 and I already have half so if I keep up the way I've been going I could possibly be done in 50 hours or less which was about as long as playthrough in 13 just for the story so it really isn't all that bad.

I'm 30 hours into XIII-2 and just reached the start of Chapter 4 in story mode. Really depends on how you play I guess. I platinumed XIII in 131 hours with no faqs or guides. So far that has been my mantra here, but we'll see how it goes.

The question on whether or not it is good depends on the personality of the player. Personally I'm usually in a game for the story and if I find enjoyment in the game then I'll work on completing the extra tasks as long as I stay interested. So basically I'm in it for story and then whether or not I do everything else will be determined by my level of interest to play more and the feasability I find in acquiring the remaining achievements.

Good luck doing this game with no guide or internet help cjim, the quiz fragments as I mentioned are really hard with most of the questions talking about things in the universe that have no bearing on the story or we just have never heard, quite a few relating to fake movies that only exist in the game's universe. Since you are on chapter 4 you should be nearing a point where you'll be required to gather a few things in order to progress but that really doesn't require a guide or anything I guess. Sorry for possibly giving something away or being over vague but I'm trying not to give away any specifics:P How many fragments do you have so far cjim? According to my guide you can get up to 122 of the 160 fragments before you proceed to chapter 5.

I'm at 33 hours with only 50 fragments. I spend a lot of time searching every inch of every area for them, but can't find many. I already figure this game will take me longer than XIII did. XIII had the linearity for half of it to keep things simpler. In this I have no clue what to do most of the time and just stumble into things accidentally, but that is exactly what I want in an rpg.

That's good then cjim. Plus if you are scouring all the areas then you are more likely to find all the items on the map. There are also atleast 9 fragments but it might actually be 11, not sure off the top of my head, that a woman in Academia 400 gives you when you get 100% map completion for certain areas. That should be where you are now or close to that time period if you are in chapter 4.

Yes, cuz it would be a waste of the arena otherwise. Plus, it has some extra areas attached to it on the map that aren't filled-in yet.

I'll spoil for you that you will see Sazh and Dajh briefly towards the conclusion of the main story. As far as there being more dlc they have already confirmed that they have episodic story dlc and yes more arena style combat that will bring back classic enemies to join your party. Plus when you do the Lightning dlc you choose that fight off a large but empty list so I would guess they have plans to fill up that list. Also since they offered Omega as dlc previously I heard a rumor that omega's counterpart or alter enemy whatever might be dlc in the future. I'm showing my ignorance here because I don't know or remember what that monster was called.

One thing that I'm actually really frustrated about is that you actually use Serah in her costume from XIII at one point in the game and yet that costume isn't unlockable. I hope they make that dlc or something becuase I would actually really like to use her outfit from XIII plus they already used it and rendered it in game so why not make it available?
