May I take a second to praise the Lord for giving me both systems? "Thank you Jesus" (even though I'm not Christian :P). Anyway... I'm probably gonna buy FF3 later in the year now.
i gues il get a psp then. i relly wanted to play ff3 and ff12 rw. i guess il get them win the ds is about Ā£60-70.....wont be long....azazel_666
You can't get FF12 on the PSP.... Or can you?

Don't spam. If you are not aware of what spamming is on GS, it is when you one word post like that ^^ :)
Ok....
Be smart and choose psp.. period
The upcoming crisis core, tactics remake, ff1 remake.... oh and i forgot to mentionĀ every single final fantasy that ever came out on psx, game boy, game boy color, gameboy advance. snes, nes . there i think that settles it.
In due time the psp will prevail even more, seeing as it had a rough start compared to the ds as far as games go, they just werent as fun as the ds games... now however the psp is extending its reach on the broader audience. DS will get a few remakes and exclusives.. but really. they dont seem that appealing wether its teh chocbo title coming out, or revnent wings, seems more for the youthful audience...
Ā
And for people who have played past games and arent expecting CrisisCore? I'm liking FFXII:RW more than CC just from the info I know about both games. And the Tactics games, well, the DS will be getting one. But I see your point, the PSP is good with some homebrew or custom software, but alone? Meh, this isnt SW. Anyways, I think that both handhelds are good for filling that "FF need" some of us have. It just a matter of taste.Ok....

Understood....
However the tactics game going for the ds is a sequel or somthing of the sort that is reletive to FFTA wich as i said is far more for the youthfull audience.. but nonethelessĀ the games still are fun.. so if u put the pspsĀ "outside" capabilities aside. then suppose its fair game.
Well if your smart and careful. then u shouldnt have a problem... i have ff8 vagrant story, chrono cross, xeno gears, and BoFĀ 3 Ā and 4 on mine... they play smooth as a whistleThreeVoawsome...so i can play ff7 on the go...psp it definatly is then
[QUOTE="Sprigain"]it doesn't really bother me because i have a ds and my little borther has a pspDarkKefka
 Easy for you to say that...>_>
Anyways, I still think that the PSP is good for "normal" FF games and the DS for spin-offs and such.
Ā
..Disagreed. I think it's the exact opposite. >_> for DS, Crystal Chronicles, Tactics, and the others. PSP is just more FFVII stuff. Expensive stuff.
I'd say that if you really like Square's games, Final Fantasy in particular, you'd be doing yourself a great justice to just save up a few bucks and get BOTH. Square-Enix themselves have said that they're gonna make the console war an even battle as far as their games go. That means if you only stick to one you'll be missing out on something somewhere else. Aside from that, both systems have a pretty nice library of other games.
On a side note, those "Kiddy" games? You'd be suprised at how many of those are actually loads of fun.

You make a good point. The PSP's FF library is mostly remakes and spin-offs, yes. But what I'm trying to say is that thanks to the PSP's power [graphics, and stuff] a "normal" FF title is easier to do than in the DS.Ā Ā
Ā
ahhh im more confused now then when i started....i would like to buy both but i dont have the money cos im 18 with no job and i have uni next year and thats gonna drain my bank account dry. azazel_666
Heheh...Dude, speaking from experience, you may want to work on getting a job. Aside from the necessities of life, gaming can get quite expensive. Especially when trying to round up Square related titles.

Hmm, good point..
The PSP. There are a few Final Fantasy's which are coming out on the PSP, including Crisis Core :Dplague_gerka
I agree.Ā I'm really looking forward to CC, but I need to get a PSP first. Argh.Ā
I say go for the DS, FFXII RW looks fun, FFIII is good, and such
On the other hand PSP has Crisis Core, which if you are a FFVII fan it would be unmissable, but if you arn't there isn't much point in buying that game (same goes for FFXII RW). I also don't see a point of buying FFI&II because its a remake of a remake of a remake with just slightly imprved graphics and probably some extras. If you already own FFI&II Dawn of Souls for the GBA there isn't much reason to get it (and besidesĀ FFI and II were fun but not that fun....)
The FFT games for each system look equaly as good so that part isĀ a draw.
So the DS is better in my opinion, besides if you have DS you can play all the great GBA FF games like FFIVA, FFTA, and the greatest, FFVIA (oh and FFI&II Dawn of Souls)
