Whats the worst Final Fantasy game that you've ever play?

Please explain why its the worest Final Fantasy game.

The worst, I mean the worst Final Fantasy game that I have ever played was Dirge of Cerberus Final Fantasy VII. I don't know what I was thinking when I rented this game, but I am glad that I didn't purchase it. Dirge of Cerberus was a wanna be third person shooter. It had a medicore story along with weak gunplay. The graphics weren't that good and the level design was pretty poor but It did do a good job at being a terrible TPS. What a waste of five bucks! Overall, 5/10

None really,I liked all the FF games.But I like Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles:My Life as a King the least.I never liked ruling over a city with not much action involved.

Dirge of cerberus did suck!! it had some cool cutscenes!! but i really like all things FF!!!game-dna

Damn! I was about to start on this game! Just got it today, argh. Hope it's passable.

its not that bad, but rent it for a weekend, dnt buy it str8 out, it doesnt take long to complete...

I think FFII is the worst because it had boring music, battle system is also Bad and the story was plain. I also Considered FFX-2 as one of the worst because of the change of Yuna's personality and bad story. To me it wasn't FF and FFX didn't need a sequel. Every game doesn't need to have a happy ending

For me, it's Final Fantasy II.. The tedious power-up system really annoyed me. The story is boring, too, and the final boss is very easy.

For spin-offs, I have to agree with Soulja ( Soulja @ FFE????? :D Welcome back! ;) )... DoC is really a let down. I would not have bought it if not for the story being connected with FFVII. I *ATE the camera angles and the control. The in-game graphics and the locations are ugly. The only thing a really liked are the FMVs.

The only reason I picked X is because the other 2 I've completed are XII and VII. So yeah X is last for me so far.

Actually "Final Fantasy Adventure" was originally called "Seiken Densetsu" the Final Fantasy was added to boost sales. Technically though it's part of the Mana series.

The creator of the topic said what Final Fantasy game, how am I to no that he/she aren't counting some games that have Final Fantasy in the title? And if they were once called Final Fantasy then they meat the specifications that were asked for. As no one said Final Fantasy Adventure is exempt.

If it is exempt despite being given the Final Fantasy name, even though the topic creator does not state that it is. Then Final Fantasy Chrystal Chronicles.

If we're talking about core FF's and not spin off's.

Then 12 is the one I dislike the most. And that really pains me because there is so many things I love about 12.

The graphics- 9 / 10

The Open World- 9.5 / 10

Side Quests (hunts) / over-all lenght- 10 / 10

Story- 4 / 10

Battle System- 3.5 / 10

Anyway, my least favorite is FFX-2. Not counting spin-off,s I'd go with FFII.

Final Fantasy II, it seemed like a step down from FFI, the only thing better was the story. The leveling system was annoyingFlipyap28

I actually thought it was interestign the only bad thing about it was that you could cheat and overpower your party really early in the game.

Some aggrements:

Yes FFX is better than FFVII to me.

FFII was annoying with the stupid new level up system, so I say FFII is the worst.

Disagreements:

Dirge of Cerebrus was actually pretty good to me since i play a lot of shooter games as well, like COD (call of duty)

FFV the worst game!! Are you out of your mind, I think FFV was a really good game, especially the jobs things.

I cant say i played any worst FF game but maybe FFIII (DS). It isnt really that bad except its way to hard nothing compared to the original version.

FFX.....just joking!

Actually it would have to be FFIII on the DS, I hated the game totally.

Everyone who has said II, because of the level up system, you are wrong, it is one of the best level up systems going and way before it's time, use something to better your mastery of it, that makes a heck of a lot of sense.

XII because of the battle system is also wrong, it's just the ATB system but you get to move around while doing it, it's pretty much just an advancement on X-2's battle system

X-2, not the worst game, especially if you base it again on battle system. X-2's battle system IS the ATB system, if you say X-2 is the worst FF game because of the battle system, you don't like FF 4-9 because they all use the same battle system.

Much as I am a MASSIVE Final Fantasy fan, I have to say it's hard to pick which one I didn't like the most. It's a toss up between FF:Adventure on the gameboy and FFx-2.

X-2 was a shambles of a game, tainted by the hand of EA and ruined with an odd britney-esque pop obsession that made it embaressing to play, while Adventure just didn't feel like Final Fantasy at all (indeed it wasn't, as far as I'm aware, the FF brand was added to it for a western release).

That it is, and I will agree on that with some things but when people criticise X-2 and XII for their battles systems it winds me up because they are in essence the same as any other FF title between 4 and 9 and don't deserve to ripped apart for no reason.

Even though I agree they aren't the best games, the battle system is not the reason and I wish people would see that.

I am not a big fan of X-2, but what grinds my gears are the Nintendo spin off FF games.Mister__Awesome

If you don't mind me asking though, what did you find bland about it?

I guess perhaps it's just the fact that it was another "collect the crystals, save the world" FF  (although the first 5 games had the same thing going, I think, I haven't quite played I or II yet) I actually liked the idea of keeping balance between bad and good in FFIII, so I guess maybe that's why I put it before 4. 

i'd have to say ffcc echoes of time. its not a bad game i just like it the least. i mean i havent even played it much probably about 30 mins just not enough time i might start this and next month.joynul

I got stuck on that game about 2 months ago and haven't played it since...even if I have a walkthrough available to me, It just got boring. Also (even if this doesn't have to do with FF) I bought Fire Emblem: Shadow dragon and haven't played that either...such a boring, lifeless game.

I know I didn't need to include that, but goodness, it's so bad, I want to sell it, but then I'd only get like 10 bucks and that won't buy me another game to replace it :/

The story was weak imo and the camera was horrendous.  It was very hard to figure out if you had to jump at an angle or straight.  And the AI (tho cute) was a little slow. o_O
