not to be much of abad person but...uhm....WHY DO THESE TYPE OF TOPICS ALWAYS HAVE TO BE CREATED. I'VE SEEN this type of topic like15-25 times in this one union.
"what's you favorite character?" we cant actually choose just one character. there are lots of cool characters in the FF series.
I have to unsticky it. We've already experienced the horror of stickiying every thread which are repeatedly occurring and which we think are popular... It's an ugly site. The sticky threads should be used with caution.
Also, these kinds of topic appear at different times and made by different persons. There are times when you won't see this topic. There were times when new members appear and would want to talk about it. This board shall evolve according to the current needs of its posters for as long as it is not violative of our rules. This helps deveop the history of this fourum. Looking at the past pages of this forum, you'll see which topics we were talking about at a particular thread. We don't want to keep old topics alive by stickying it and just wait till a new poster comes in and revive itwith his single post. It just destroys the historical value of each thread.
This is very hard for me to decide, some people gauge this off of "awsomeness" whereass others decide based on character. Over all, i have to say..
Delita Hyral for FF tactics, simply for his acheivments and how he played his role in the story

Congrats for getting FF8, I will give one advise, never give up when you reach a hard boss, cause a lot have don that, and missed one of the greatest FF games, that doesn't mean it's a hard game, but like any FF game, you have to increase your stats to beat that boss, enjoy :).
I never found VIII to be difficult (except for fighting/acquiring some optional GFs), but it was still an enjoyable game.

the FMV graphics rule i think they are better than the ones in ff12. now i know what GS is saying in the review where they say the ballroom scene is regarded as the best FMV ever. however you dont even find out thta grils name! i know you probs do later though

It's not difficult, it's just when the fans of FF7 played it, they stopped in the first hard spot.

I did the same thing, stoppingplaying VIIIafter playing VII, but I quit because I was young and stupid back then and couldn't understand the junction system. Of course I gave the game a second chance later on in my life and understood it much better, and enjoyed it.
But to get back on topic, I guess Zidane is my favorite character.

Not me. I beat FF8 to the bloody pulp and even discovered a magic glitch, which, sadly :(, I failed to document. Now I forgot how to do it. It will make all the magic drawing haters' life easier 'coz you can multiply all your spell to reach 100 for each character. You'll find a magic glitch FAQ in GameFAQs, but it is a different one... for the Japanese version. The glitch I found was different.

that would suck, like forgetting ffxs don tonberry glitchKain and Shadow are better than ANYONE in the FF universe. No one can match them.
Wait, scratch that. Ramza from Tactics. The guy kills hundreds upon hundreds of people, takes out half the Church, kills most of the Lucavi, and kills two of his brothers, And he's branded a heretic, socially shunned, and is marked as a historic villain, but never complains and constantly pushes forward.
And he also wins for taking down Gafgarion.

Then you must have poor eyesight. Saying FFVIII had better FMV graphics than XII is like saying that the PS2 was the worst console of last gen.

That's true. The FMV scenes in FFXII were amazing on multiple levels. Ontop of looking beautiful, they were backed by fantastic music. They were full of emotional moments and they felt extremely epic. They were well directed with some extremely cool large scale battles tooI never found VIII to be difficult (except for fighting/acquiring some optional GFs), but it was still an enjoyable game.

I think it was a pretty hard battle when you get sucked into the vase or what it was and fight that demon. I bttled him for a very long time, like an hour and 30 min... something like that.
Squall is my fav FF character because he has the coolest weapon and he just changes so much throughout the game.
Beat VIII pretty easily (i beat ultimecia with only attack, magic and recover unlocked). Best training spot on the first disk is by cliffs near winhill across the desert from galabadia but sometimes you might get hit by meteor:o
My fav is Auron without a doubt, although ive onlt played FFX (shame on me)FreedomBYgaming
Don't worry about X-2. Just read the story somewhere. It's got to be the worst one(no offense to those who like it).
