...a black lead character in a final fantasy game, because as far a I know there are none and the closest black character you ever got is Barret from FFVII, I mean is square just facinated with white people? If they haven't, I would think a black character would be pretty cool, and it would change things up a bit.soultaker2004
they probably think it isnt nessescarry but i agree that its cool.
racists may be offended if a black person is put as a main character and black people could be offended too because they might think square is mocking them. they might be offended for calling them black instead of coloured.
because square-enix and the final fantasy series is still very influenced by japan and there is not a lot of black people in japan. japanese gamers would prob not respond to a black lead character . there is nothing racist about it they are just creating something their audience can relate to.
why doesnt square create like a new tribe in a game where the people are black. for example like the differences between people from Besaid, Guadosalam, and the Al-bhed. they all looked different and had unique characteristics.just do sumthin like thatduffman5027
I think that would be really racist.....

yeah, if you're aiming not to be racist you will probably end up landing that way.

could you just imagine what their black lead character would look like

AGREED!! they need to start makin the lead characters badass again. these whimpy little guys piss me off.
that would be cool if that happends. just think of GTA San Andreas, it change the series alot so i think it will also change the whole FF world. Orasion_Seiz
true but i found that game full of to many stereotypes, and id hardly think that putting a stereotype in a FF game (since they market more proper) would help
and think of the whole world being black, i mean its a fantasy story in a fantasy land, what if everyone was of the same colour... except this time not the half asian half european breed you get with FF games
and mark, we all hate how the characters look, i mean they can be rugged and manly men cant they (or will people start calling them lumberjacks)

[QUOTE="RedNEXUS"]in the end Square-enix is just trying to make money like every other company on earth. Their just sticking to a formula that they know sells and adjusting it slowly game by game so who knows.maa4208
Exactly. Why didn't anyone say this before? :P
cause of this :whoosh: (signaling somthing flying overhead)
but i must say i prefer a mixture of fantasy races

Technically Square games races don't consist of color. They have races such as Al-Bhed.The majority of the characters don't even look white.I don't know wat they look like but it sure isn't white.
