I think it's moving alone nicely, but I don't really see it hitting the PS3 this year. I want it to, so i can hear more about it, but i don't see it happening. I agree that we'll proabably see something this E3. TGS for sure.

Most things do tend to be too good to be true. In my opinion, we're proabable not going to see it released next year either. Remember how long (and how many delays) FF XII took to be released.....

FFXIII does seem to be set for a 2009 release date. I'm pretty sure it'll end up have it's date set this upcoming E3.
Most things do tend to be too good to be true. In my opinion, we're proabable not going to see it released next year either. Remember how long (and how many delays) FF XII took to be released.....Sony_FanBoy
Yes, but didn't they have some serious technical problems with XII ? I don't expect them to mess up every single time.

Well there was some problems with it. Many of the people who originally worked on it moved around, started other projects, etc. The thing is Final Fantasy XIII has the same problems with many of the people working on it starting new projects.
FFXIII does seem to be set for a 2009 release date. I'm pretty sure it'll end up have it's date set this upcoming E3.

The only real problem I've heard with Final Fantasy XIII is the transition from the PS2 to the PS3. I wouldn't say it is a big complaint, but they are trying to get the most out of the graphic engine they've created. I won't even guess the release date because right now I feel like the game doesn't even exist.

It does feel a little like that, it's been almost 2 years since its announcement and all we have is a couple of Famitsu scans and 3 trailers.
But then, you have to remember we're talking about Square-Enix. :P

Well the guy in charge of all things Final Fantasy now (Tetsuya Nomura) is working on 3 Kingdom Hearts games, plus Final Fantasy Versus XIII, The Last Remenant. Along with Final Fantasy Agito XIII and the weirdly quiet Heresis XIII. Dissida: Final Fantasy. Everyone working on the XIII games are working on many other things. These are just a few.

I was talking about the team working on Final Fantasy XIII specifically. I don't think it was ever mentionned that they had other projects as well. There may be a ton of games in development, but Square-Enix is huge. And as far as I know, Tetsuya Nomura is only a character designer for XIII, so the other games shouldn't affect its development too much.

Totally agree. His character designs are nice, but I have never liked the games he has directed, including Kingdom Hearts. Hopefully, Versus XIII will be different.
The only game that he has played any major role in that I wound up liking alot was Chain of Memories. FFX was decent but not great. FFVII is highly overrated. Again, decent. FFVIII is....I cannot stand that game. DoC is terrible. KH and KH2 are nothing more than average RPGs I think. FFX-2 is....ugh... Ontop of that, I just don't enjoy his character designs. He has a fgew that aren't bad, but they tend to look bland to me. Woo. Anime style.

I loved Yuna, but too many of his characters are starting to look like her. Take "Lightning" from FFXIII as an example.
You just admitted that she resembles Cloud, so either she looks a bit manish or doe doesn't resemble Cloud. There is no inbetween. Regardless, she is not pretty. Fran was pretty.
