Yep that was also my favorite fight scene. But since thats both are favorite I'll just say my second which is the fight between Sephiroth and Cloud at the end of Advent Children.
If Advent Children counts, then I like the Tifa vs Loz fight. Awesome hand to hand action and the only epic battle in the film that doesn't involve Cloud.
That was the cutscene, I guess in Chapter 7, when Lightning and Hope come out of the underground part of Palumpholum and are caught by the news cameras and then Snow and Fang show up on Sheva. My favorite battle/cutscene from XIII would without a doubt be the race track fight at the start of Chapter 12:P
I only had trouble with a few battles in the whole franchise.. I own the entire franchise and I have to say I mastered them all at one time. I'm sure I have some rust, I haven't played some of them for over 5 years.
I found XIII to be one of hardest FFs on first playthrough and X to be one of easiest. Combat is fast-paced with a steep learning curve in XIII, while X doesn't even have active time so you have all day to plan each move.
I personally found the enemies through the story to be much easier in XIII. Orphan was a piece of cake compared to Sin but I see where you are coming from.
There were a lot of great summon scenes in IX like Odin destroying Cleyra or Atomos attacking Lindblum, but Bahamut vs Alexander definitely taked the cake. IX was one of the best for summons due to how big a role they played in the plot. Summons are integral to the plots of other FFs like X, but I found there weren't any scenes in X where their sheer power was displayed as it was so often in IX.

In XIII all you had to have is a medic in your team and every battle was a win:P Final Fantasy X may be the easiest/. I though FFI was easy but I also leveld up my guys to lv 86 but that did not take much time. I do not know I guess X was the easiest for me too but I and XIII was not that hard either.
Thats true for XIII, getting through wasn't an issue but some fights like the eidolon battles could be difficult as well as scoring well but thats because they expect you to go back with the gold watch and whatever else to get a better score with ease.
I have the worst battles in FFXIII especially against those bosses that cast Doom... It's because I seldom upgrade my equipment. I remember, I still remember I have not upgraded a single weapon until around 2/3 in the game when I fought that monster on top of the tower.
I would say thats more than 2/3, that fight is only about 3 hours before the final boss if you just play straight through. That boss wasn't all that bad but I maxed out my party everytime before I even headed for the tower.
Ooh. Then, it's that long that I did not bother upgrading. :P I was apprehensive in upgrading my weapons 'coz there might be stronger weapons that will require my materials and I don't want to waste my materials on weapons that I will not use in the long run. :P
