The GBA shall always live, to those who still want good handheld games. Meanwhile, everyone else will continue with the crap on the DS and PSP. And then they'll move on to the next "OMG ITS SO SHINY" handheld with nothing good on it.torchicfire
theres nothing wrong with the DS what are you talking about im using the DS to play a GBA game rite now and it feels the same as a SP
(and an eight month old thread comes back to life).
Honestly, I think the title line-up on the GBA is much better than the DS's, and I believe it will always stay that way...I'm pretty sad with my DS, other than Zelda and FFIII (and a few others), but the GBA has so much to offer.
The GBA is a great system andI'm currenlt buying several older GBA must have titles before they completely disappear. Lets be honest here though, the GBA is dieing a slow death. There are very few good GBA titles left on retail shelves, most of the stuff you can still buy at stores is junk.
The GBA was the last truly classic 2D system with great 2D games, but the PSP and DS still have some great 2D classic games on it. Ultimate Gouls N' Goblins, Mega Man Powered Up, Mega Man Maverick Hunter X, Castlevania Remakes, New Super Mario Bro's, 2 Castlevania games for the DS, Contra 4, Sonic Games on the DS, Metal Slug Anthology, Genesis Collection, Capcom Collections, Street Fighter Alpha 3, etc.
To say the DS and PSP are junk is just blind fanboyism. The GBA is still the king of portable gaming in my eyes because a GBA micro is small enough to really take with you anywhere, unlike the bulkier PSP and DS. The DS and PSP are great systems too though with a lot of great games. The PSP gave the GBA an early death by forcing Nintendo to release the DS but the GBA had a helluva great 3 years.
