Hi, I bought a Gameshark SP for my Gameboy Advanced SP today and when I insert the game onto the game spot and the Gameshark into the game cartridge area, and once I start up the Gameboy, the Gameboy logo appears, but nothing else happens. I've tried everything from pushing the game in carefully, to pushing the gameshark in straight and making sure it's on, but nothing seems to be working. I'm hoping I didn't buy a defected Gameshark, because it isn't even able to recognize the game (Pokemon Emerald). Is there anything I can do to fix it?

I play clean, I just need the gameshark to do the teleport codes for the event pokemon. Other than that, I don't really need it.

I have the Gameshark SP and have had no problems whatsoever with it.  I never use it though.  Just buy a new one.

This has happened to me before. You just have to make sure that everything is fitting properly; both the cartridge and the gameshark itself.

I just bought the GBA SP gameshark and I am having the same problem. I put everything in carefully and made sure that it was in the on position but it stills stays on the gameboy screen. Did you ever figure out a way to make it work?

I am actually having the same problem and just googled the question! No help as of yet. It seems that a lot of people are having the same problems we are - I turn it on, get the Gameboy logo, music, etc - but no Nintendo logo (like when I put in the pokemon emerald game by itself) - and that's it. The screen just sits there like that. Grrrrrr

I am a bit worried - I just opened it tonight after buying it about 2 months ago - for the same reason you stated. I've beaten the Elite 4, caught almost everything there is to catch (including G/S in the safari zone) - but wanted the aurora ticket, etc so I could get the super-rares w/out going broke at Nintendo events.

*sigh*

If I figure anything out, I'll let you know. Most likely, take it back to where you bought it and trade it for a new one, try it in the parking lot, if it doesn't work, take it right back to the store. Sooner or later, they'll stop carrying these pieces of garbage if Datel (or whoever owns it now) loses enough money on returns. (Or fix the problem LMFAO)

quick edit - sorry, didn't see the date on this post. Sorry for the necro
