I am planning on buying an Action Replay for GBA to have all the pokemon for Pokemon Emerald but i was wondering if its easy? Like how do you do it and will it f up my game?

It's a state memory modification tool. Basically it changes certain values in memory to a different number. For instance, you can set it so that the value for HP is always 1000, and in effect have a invulnerability cheat on. Action replay is the decendant of things like game genie.

the action replay is placed in the game slot on the GBA, an the game that you want to play is placed in the game slot of the action replay. I had one to use on Pokemon Ruby, but I left the game in there for so long, that the action replay broke. When i turn it on, it has this weird screen that has background writing talking about Ruby. I'm thinking about buying a new one, but I don't know if I want to risk it...

The action replay just modifies what the GBA reads from the gamepak. It's pretty cool actually.
