Pokemon Emerald is great, expecially with the addition of the Battle Frontier. Emerald is the expanded version of Ruby and Sapphire. FireRed and LeafGreen are expaneded remakes of Pokemon Blue and Red, and are pretty fun.
Final Fantasy Advanced games are fun. Metroid games are short but fun. Mario and Zelda, cant go wrong with those either.
Golden Sun, 1 and 2, are great.
Theres plenty more. The GBAs waist-deep in great games. Just take your pick.
Riviera (rpg), Gunstar Super Heroes (shoot-em up), Pokemon Saphire/Ruby or Fire Red/Leaf Green, Super Mario Wolrd 2 (2D platformer), Zelda The Minish Cap(action adventure) are all really great...and Fire Emblem the Sacred Stones if you like turn base strategy.
