Hey, I just picked up a GBA SP from Gamestop today, and I am having the hardest time trying to get this thing to charge. Whenever I plug the charger into the SP, the Amber light goes on for like 2 secs and the goes off. After screwing around with the charger for a while, I was able to get the thing to stay charging, but only while the SP is turned on. Do you guys have any idea what may be wrong and what I can do to get this SP to charge normally? Any help is appreciated!

How longer your GBA SP stayed light on? You may exchange it or refund money. I am not sure that this GBA SP may need to replace new battery. Nintendo store online site still sold new replacement battery for GBA SP.

^Some people don't want a DS. I know the SP fits much better in my pocket, too.

Was the SP new? I'm sure Nintendo has a warranty, so they could help you. You could also ask for a refund from Gamestop, or another SP.

Who wouldn't want a DS? It plays all the GBA games and the DS library.

I actually do have a DS, but I'd like to be able to play older games as well, and I like the size of the SP better than the DS. I bought the SP used. I think what I'll end up doing is order a replacement battery and an extra charger and that should take care of the issue. I was able to get the thing charged, but only after screwing around with it for a while, and the power had to be on.
