FYI: A pokemon doesn't lvl at it's full potential if you just feed it rare candies. They'll turn out weaker than trained pokemon.

most of the time that's true, however if you are very lucky a rare candy can give better stats than normal(about 1 in 1000 chance) I got + 2 in all stats and +5 in HP once by rare candy. However the othertimes sucked (+1 hp and +0 on most stats)

The cheats that you wanted were on gamespot the whole time. Do you mean the 99 cheat for pokemon red and blue? Because if I remember, it does NOT work for firered/leafgreen.
All you have to do is a gamespot search for "pokemon red/blue(GB)" and then under "hints and cheats".
OMG, you should at last especify the game you want (the games don't have the same codes), and i advice you, using these codes takes all the fun of the game, i tried that before, and... well... the game wasn't fun anymore, it was too easy, and i got bored... better play normally, XD

However the othertimes sucked (+1 hp and +0 on most stats) Def. not how rare candies work. They level you up but don't apply EVs. I have no idea where you came up with the 1 in 1000 chance.
