I do not have Micro yet. Imay try to get it. I like SP because it can play with any GB/GBC game. GBA SP2 (backlit) is really better than GBA SP.

does anyone perfer game boy micro to game boy sp?roncher

I LOVED IT! It was so tiny! So COMPACT! I could take it to work! For about six months it was like a trusty sidearm, always in my pocket. A reassuring weight, like my wallet and keys. My hips felt off kilter without it... But then I got this extended life battery for the SP that kicks it up to 20 hours of play... and I've rediscovered my pearl blue death machine! Micro's good for around the office, but I do prefer the SP in any setting other then work.

In essence, the SP is the better deal, because of the backwards compatibility and longer battery life. Of course, the Micro is incredibly portable and by my personal preference, a lot sleeker than the SP. It's entirely up to you. I initially bought my Micro only to complete my collection of Game Boys, but ended up using it more than my SP. Both are cool, but the SP is the better deal in the end.

i strongly prefer the SP. i think the micro was geared more towards people who were new to gaming, thus didnt need connectivity or backwards compatibility. its ultra small size and changeable face-plates was suppose to be appealing to 'trendy' people

Yeah... the Micro was sort of a failed experiment by Nintendo on how to get the casuals. Which is kind of weird, because they already had seen the un-flashy DS become popular. :?

I actullay perfer the Sp but with the micro You Can Set The blacklit the way u want it, It's small so you can play it in school sometimes and not get caught, The face plate changer is awsome too. But the Sp will always remain my favorite system of any kind.

IMO, the SP is better because it also plays Game Boy and Game Boy Color games and it has a bigger screen than the Micro.
