I need some tips for some great games that came out for the original game boy and the game boy color. When I was younger, I couldn't afford a lot of games, so now I'm going back and buying a lot of those games. Please give me some ideas for games to get. Game Boy games I own are: Donkey Kong Donkey Kong Land Game & Watch Gallery Tetris The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening Super Mario Land Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins Super Mario Land 3: Wario Land Wario Land 2 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 (back when they were cool) Game Boy color games I own are: Super Mario Bros. Deluxe The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons Tony Hawk's Pro Skater Wario Land 3 Yu-Gi-Oh: Dark Duel Stories (Don't care for Yu-Gi-Oh anymore, but I don't want to sell it) Any game ideas would be greatly appreciated. :) EDIT: I don't really care for Pokemon games.

If you liked Game 7 Watch Gallery, Game & Watch Gallery 2 & 3 are even better.

Metriod II is pretty good. And Pokemon Blue or Red.

 Metroid Fusion, Gameboy Camera&Printer :D :D :D and of course Red/Blue Pokemon are absolute must haves. Along with Street Fighter 2, which i thoroughly enjoyed for my Gameboy. But whatever you do, avoid Alien Olympics ..

I thought of a couple more.

FaceBall 2000 is a quirky fun shooter.

Final Fantasy Adventure is like the Legend of Zelda games, and is really awesome.

Mega Man II is a fun action game. Any one of the 5 Mega Man games would be good to get, but I like 2 the best.

I can't think of any GBC games you don't already have that I liked.

If you're ANYTHING in to the pokemon game ( key word game) series then the pokemon games like red blue, gold and silver are a must.

I still think the best GameBoy/ GameBoy Color game was Wario Land 3. It was almost so good my butt fell off. Excellent game.

You've have most of the ones I'd recommend. Mega Man Xtreme and Xtreme2 Dragon Warrior III

Crystalis is supposed to be pretty awesome (though not as good as the NES original), and it's in color.

Final Fantasy Adventure is one awesome game, the sound track is the best on game boy,  you get tones of weapons, hard bosses, Final fantasy chariters  (this is back in 91 so just the basic ones) and the game is a nice length, FFA is a awesome game and id totally get it.

This is a great topic, certainly a break from the usual "WHT DS GME SOULD I GET!11!" topics we see often around these boards.

There are simply too many to list them all, but I'll recommend some personal favorites from my collection:

Adventure Island


Adventure Island 2


Bionic Commando


Donkey Kong Land


Kirby's Dream Land


Kirby's Dream Land 2


Super Mario Land


Super Mario Land 2 - Six Golden Coins


Super Mario Land 3 - Wario Land


Ninja Gaiden Shadow


The Legend of Zelda - Link's Awakening


There's more, but I'll stop here.

ahah I thought it was gonna take forever for someone to mencione gargoyle's quest. Yeah that game rocked. bought It twice after i lost my copies.

I need to wait until I get some more cash now, I bought a bunch of the recommendations. :P I think I might also get the Final Fantasy Legend games as well as Final Fantasy Adventure.
