Hey it's this kid's brother again.

Now i have been playing pokemon since i was about 9 years old. (The year red and blue came out) And now i have a question that has been bugging me for awhile. Its with the types Ghost and Dark. I don't know they are in the the Spec. Attack section or the Attack section, I'm pretty sure Dark is the Attack Stat., but I'm not sure about ghost becuase it seems like the new Ghost Pokemon have high attack and low special attack. Could you clear things up for me? Thanks

Maybe the FAQs have the question because I'm a bit lost... Gosht a are spc. attack, and dark are just attack... no wait... not sure, there is none to fight here with my Pokemons so I never worried

Thanks, it always bothered me because it seemed to criss-cross all the time...But why does shadow ball have a chance of lowering Spec. attack if its a attack type? That doesn't really make sense, but i guess the stats of the pokemon don't lie.

True, that never made sense. But now it does, since in pokemon D/P, physical/special attacks are based on the actual attack not the type, so you will be able to get physical electricattacks (thunderpunch) and special ghost attacks (shadow ball). Hope that makes some sense :)
