I know this has been done a dozen times but I can't find any topics on it. Anyway, just a few quick questions. I've decided not to buy a DS seeing as it's pretty expensive and I mainly want to play GBA games. So what's the best way to go in buying a GBA? Are the screens for both SP and original the same? How are the controls for both?

It's best to get the SP. The original doesn't have a backlit which makes it very hard to see.

Definitely get the brighter back-lit SP.

Get the SP - built in backlit, and rechargable lithium battery.

Definitely the SP cause the original doesn't have a back-lit screen.

The only thing I find better on the original than the SP is the layout, I just find it more comfortable to play it being that it is wider, not a huge factor though.

Go with the SP because of the backlight and it's portability...but I suggest you go with a DS someday

You must get SP because it has light.  You can't play orginal GBA in dark room, and outside in night.  I did play it outside in night while I forced to find near any bright light.  Now, I can play my GBA SP outside in night as I have no problems with SP.

Haha, I remember back in the days of the original GB and GBC, you could get those magnifying glass attachments, and the deluxe ones had lights in them. I never slept once I had it haha.
