I received a used Tactics Ogre GBA game for Christmas, and it won't save my game. Once I turn it off, the game is gone and I have to start all over again. I didn't get a manual with the game, so I am looking for information about how to save the game (maybe I am doing something wrong??) or how to fix the problem so that I can save my game and not have to play for 40 hours straight to complete the game. Any help would be appreciated!! Thanks.

THta happened to me once and I couldn't figure it out. I was lucky enough that there was another cartridge atthe gamestop I went to. Just try saving in different files over and over and in diffferent combinations. Something might work, but if not you need to replace that cartridge.

That happened with a HK copy of Tactics Ogre I got off Ebay. The cart was listed as an actual NTSC copy. I ended up having to find an original US copy before I could save properly with that game.

A lot of the Hong-Kong copies that look and smell like the actual GBA cartridge won't save right. If you look at thegloss and texture of both the plastic and the label look slightly different than a GBA cart you take out of the box from a store. Ebay is passing around a lot of these, and it's hard to discern if you get a bad one, until it's actually in your hands.

Thanks everyone for the information and suggestions. I have been really busy and haven't had a chance to get back to the game, but I will definitely try it again. Thanks!
