For the GBA, I think that the best mario games are Mario and Luigi:  Superstar Saga and Super Mario World.  State which ones are your favorite.

Mario & Luigi was the more revolutionary for the GBA, second could be Super Mario World II was cool but the same from the SNES

Super Mario Advance 2: Super Mario World and Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga are both the best Mario games for the GBA IMO. It's too hard for me to just choose one. One is a great platformer and the other is a really fun RPG. :D
