It got the best rating for probably any other FF remake and I don't know if I should get it? Is it really an experience that I can't miss?

And can you change job classes whenever you want just like FF5? Or is there even different job classes to choose from?

i dont think u could change jobs. But each characters have their own abilities, just like a job only fixed. I played FF anthologies for the playstation and i think FFVI has the best story. Second best FF game IMO, just below FFVII.

I don't know about how others may feel about the job class system, but i think with the exception of FF tactics that this system ruins Final fantasy games.

Now as for Final fantasy 6. If you are new to video games than you will probably be set back by the Graphics in FF6. But if you can get past that than you will discover a game that has a great story and lasting appeal.

Short answer: They gave a 13 year old game a score of 8.9, that alone should tell you something.

Long answer:  While I'm sure I'll get some flak for this, FFVI is the very best of the entire series IMO(Sorry but I do think VII is highly overrated).  Nearly all the charachters had interesting back stories and a sound reason to be involved.  The plot while typical of every RPG out there(save the world), is definately the most interesting in the series and exciting to watch unfold.  There are so many charachters that are memorable.  Finally, the main villain of the game is portrayed in sucj a way that you want nothing more than the meet and destroy him in the final battle.  Kefka is one of those villains Square portrayed perfectly.  A twisted psychotic who is completely uncaring, and without remorse.  People like to tout Sephiroth as the best, my vote still goes to Kefka.

GS scored this game as high as they did with good reason:  It is that good.  Buy it.

If you're a fan of Final Fantasy or roleplaying games in general you should get it.

It has been one of my all time favorites since it first came out as FF3!  Do yourself a favor and just play it.  Don't ask about gameplay etc, just go play and enjoy!

the music has been remixed some what in the game though. i saw the trailer on the ff6a web site and square-enix just completely jacked up the soundtrack to FFVI, which in my opinion was the best sound track of all the final fantasies. that reason alone made me not want to get it although i love ff6 and i too think it's better than ff7

It doesn't bother me as much now as it did at first, but it's really not Square's fault. The GBA sound chip just isn't as strong as the SNES' chip was.

You, good sir, are 110% correct.  Couldn't have said it better.

Any RPG fan does themselves a massive disservice to skip on this game.
